There's Nothing Like a Party to Make You Smile

So, you all know that MJ turned 2 three weeks ago. He had a little friends party just over a week ago — there were seven boys and one adorable little girl (guess wh000?) Danielle had all kinds of activities planned for them … painting pumpkins, gourd bowling, a Leaf Walk for candy (verses a Cake Walk for cakes), a chili feed, and MJ loved every minute of it. I think the other kids (big and little) did too.

One of the first activities was the pumpkin painting. The kids loved it and took it all very seriously while they created their masterpieces.

When it was time for cake, MJ had a hard time waiting. Who could resist a cake like this when you’re two (or any age for that matter).

Oh my, what a face. While the big spoonful of icing above was really a photo-op for Robby to tease Megan, the face below is the result of Syd sneaking into the cake double-fisting it while we were watching MJ open presents. I missed it. Dang it.

Who had more fun? The kids or the adults? What a fun birthday party, so many wonderful smiles in the bunch, couldn’t decide who’s was the brightest! Love the “plummer’s butt” photo, he’ll thank his grandma later when he’s older and sees it, but that’s what grandma’s are for, huh?

You’re the first to mention the “plummer’s crack”. I wanted to say “like father like son” but stayed away from that.

Thanks for stopping by mine. It gives me a reminder to come back here. I get lost in cyberworld sometimes.
What a great party! Love the pictures especially the plumber crack. An all too familiar picture around here. I love seeing the moms and dads interested and interacting. Way too many children grown never having this precious time with their parents.

OMGosh Mary! Love it! The little butt crack makes me smile… I also have photos of my girls bending over. Last Easter my niece was caught like that, reaching for an Easter Egg so I took a photo. The girls always remind me, “remember yesterday when Abbi was over and we saw her butt crack.” Hee…hee…

That itty bitty butt crack…I DIE.

Wonderful photos! The crack made me giggle! What a precious memory.
LOL.

Both of you mentioned the butt crack. I would have missed that shot had some guests not clued me in. Like father like son I guess!

Aubrey, you “crack” me up.
