Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. These three had me running! Amanda saw our session as a way to get some new updated images of Gus 5-½, and twins Peter (in orange) and Henry (obviously in green) — who are 3 years old today so Happy Birthday boys! — but they saw it as a new big playground to explore! I’m not sure what Amanda was thinking when she brought one bike for three boys. The first picture explains the problem. We needed you Nick! Hahahhha. 🙂 It’s always a joy to have return clients so I can see the growth in the kids and these boys just got more adorable (and energetic) over the year. No wonder Amanda stays so beautifully slim!
I want to take a minute to explain the next two pictures. Sometimes on photo shoots things don’t go as planned, or in other words three cute boys and a mom don’t all have the best of expressions all in one picture. Enter Photoshop Elements 12. I always edit people’s faces in every picture I take in some way or another. I might add some color to the lips, brighten the eyes, smooth complexion, straighten a smile, things of that nature, but sometimes more drastic measures are called for as in this setting. In one picture Amanda’s eyes were closed but the boys all looked great, and in the other picture Henry didn’t have the best smile but every one else looked great. So in order to come up with two great pictures, I did some head swaps. You will notice Amanda and Henry’s face is the same in both pictures even though Henry’s head has a different angle. Editing is always a time sucker, no matter what, but head swaps can be even more so — but so worth it in the end for one (or two) great images for clients to choose from. Don’t expect it from me all the time, however, as the scene and body placement has to match up fairly closely!
