The Seifrit Family [2015 Senior/Family Combo]

I am going to start this post off in a most unusual way and say that I believe in God in case you didn’t know that about me. It’s a small world (after all) and God allows His mysterious ways to bring us joy in … well … mysterious ways! Take for example this note I received back in July of this year:

“Hello Mrs. Mouser, I came across your photography website, Fairly Candid, actually by accident. I guess God works in strange ways. I was researching information about Africa New Life Ministries, because we had just decided to sponsor a child. It was just a general GOOGLE search. I came across a blog about your sponsored child. Then I discovered your website, clicked over to there, and recognized some of your photography subjects: the Priebe family. I then came to the realization that we attend the same church! My sons, Michael and Sam attend The Hub with Pastor Matt (Priebe). And my husband, Eric sings with Gail Bonine on the Praise Team. Small World!”

Crazy huh?! The note went on to explain their son, Michael, is a senior this year at Mountain View and they needed some senior pics. I was definitely on board and just had to work around a very busy family schedule. You see Eric sings and plays keyboard at FBC, Michael, 17, is Drum Major for the Mountain View Maverick Marching Band while also playing the tenor saxophone for Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. Sam is 15 and in 10th grade. He plays the tuba in Symphonic Band, and Sousaphone in Marching Band, and the trombone in Jazz Band. Hannah is 12 and in 7th grade and a cheerleader, and Melody (with her beloved Teddy) is a sweet little 3-year old with the longest hair I’ve ever seen on a sweet little 3-year old! And Christina keeps them all on schedule with many other talents of her own. Phew, are you tired yet cause I sure am! 🙂 I had so much fun with you guys and, Michael, what a nice young man you are with a very bright future. Enjoy your senior year! To the rest of the Seifrit family, thank you for being so great to work with on such a cold and windy day! Blessings, Mary

Dear Mary,
These are WONDERFUL!!!! Thank you for everything! We have not had any families pictures taken since 2006, when Hannah was about 4 years old. So, we have NONE with little Melody. So, having family portraits taken were long overdue, and you made it so incredibly easy, fun, and extra special! We just cannot thank you enough for what you have done!

…And thank you for Michael’s Senior Portraits! I could not be happier about how they turned out! He looks so grown up, but I still cant stop thinking about him as an itty bitty toddler. Thank you, again. Oh, and Sam has already requested that you do HIS Senior Portraits. 🙂

Well, what a way to bless my day! Thank you for you sweet comment and for the one about Michael as well. For those of you reading this, I asked Christina, Eric, and Michael to all yell “Senior” in the shot with just the three of them. Christina started to cry. Oh no! But it was just all that love and memories that sits right there at the top of our mind with our first senior. I just love love. Don’t you! (PS and tell that handsome Sam that I would love to shoot his senior pictures! I won’t even think of retirement till he is done. Wink)
