The Gerichs

Here’s a little photo session to finish up before Christmas – of Megan and Robby and their kiddos, three of our five pretty awesome g-babes. Oh, and we have a new grand-dog this year too – Finley – shown here at 10 weeks. She’s a mini-Aussie and quite the cutie. Sydney, almost 8 and in 2nd grade, has been talking dog language for many many months now. She lived and breathed wanting a dog and her folks finally held her off by telling her that when she became a third grader they would get a dog. Well, they were thinking about it before Finley was born but they kept it quite the surprise up until they brought her home. Suffice it to say Sydney was in shock heaven. Simone talked cats, but she is quite smitten with Finley as well, and Cole? … well Cole just went off and played with his cars and trucks during the reveal. Now though, a few weeks after these pictures were taken, he and Finley have become wrestling buddies and get along pretty good. Simone is now 5 and in Kindergarten and is still our sweet and sassy one. She keeps us on our toes but has so many wonderful qualities about her. She is still the most imaginative of all the kids, plays independently for hours, and loves a good challenge when it comes to learning — reading, math and writing stories are some of her favorites. Sydney is still our social one, asking 21 questions every time she is around someone for more than an hour. She is particularly interested in what big things cost as if she understood what big things cost. 🙂  Life isn’t always fair according to Sydney but I’m sure you remember that time in your life. Life and schoolyard friendships can just be hard sometimes. Then there’s Cole, now 2½ and and similar to Simone in many ways. He also loves playing independently but has blinders on to any other toy but his Lightning McQueen trucks and cars right now. He can be impossible to put a coat on and can be a bit sassy too (“yeave me alone” as he gives you stink eye) (but hey he’s two), but mostly he’s this happy little boy you see here who is the apple of his mom and dad’s eye. Robby is an Edward Jones Financial Advisor in Eagle and is passionate about what he does, but first and foremost he’s a fun-loving daddy as he’s a big kid himself. Megan is PTO President this year so that says how much free time she has of late – zero to none – but she has loved the challenge and has risen to every occasion, having a great support team beside her.

It was particularly cold this day so the girls were often off bundled in blankets, so Cole got my camera’s attention. And at his age, that’s ok. This time passes too quickly and before you know it, he’ll be in school too. He and I have Tuesday mornings together when we go to Bible Study Fellowship. We have some pretty sweet times and I love that we are learning about Jesus together. If you don’t know Jesus personally, call me up and I’ll introduce you. 😉 Merry Christmas everyone! Hugs, Mary/Mom/Gramma

There was actually a baby deer laying down off to the right a bit as well, but for whatever reason I only took this shot. Silly me.

Mary lovely family. I bet you can’t get enough of those Grands.
5 is a good number of Grandchildren. The girls are so cute. The boys are precious (but don’t tell them that) ha. They seem to be growing up so fast. Of course your daughter and son-in-law look so happy. I like the deer picture. You should enter it in the fair and say find the 2nd deer. If you wouldn’t of said something I probably would of missed the fawn.
Thank you for sharing and I hope you ALL HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Thank you Tracey. They are growing up aren’t they? And yes, 5 is a good number although I always thought Cole should have a little cousin sibling as well, but Matt and Danielle didn’t see it my way. 😉 Have a wonderful Christmas as well and if I get my act together I’ll drop by the office and say hello. Take care, Mary

Gosh I love my people. Thank you for capturing such great pictures of them, and rushing to do so before your trip so I could get mine out and the weather would be nice. Boy am I glad we didn’t wait! Even the dog smiles for you!

That might just be the happiest little boy on the planet. Nice job, Mary.
