The Gerichs [My Family]

My kids, Megan and Robby, decided on a urban shoot this year so of course it was on one of the few windy day we’ve had these past two weeks. No worries … my kids are adaptable. And then there was Simone. She was having none of this photo business and 10 minutes into the session Megan was like “ok, I’m over it” and was ready to call it quits, but then she gave Simone a little snack and things turned around. 17 month olds can be so unpredictable! Sydney at 3 years and 10 months on the other hand is so predictable. She’s always excited to be out and about with the family and enjoyed the randomness of this day. We only got within a few blocks because the weather was so crappy, but in the end I loved the craziness of it all. Yep, that’s my family and I love them sooooo much!

Megan is a stay-at-home mom, and a darn good one, and my son-in-law Robby is an Edward Jones Financial Advisor, and quite an accomplished one at that — all while being such an attentive hubby and fun daddy. We’re so proud of these two and how well they reflect themselves in all they do. See, this next picture proves it. 🙂

And I can’t let this post end without “The End”. This was us walking back to our cars … my hubs carrying the lost boot, my lens bag, his daughter’s purse, my reflector, the props. He’s one of a kind and pretty amazing most days. 😉 I got lucky with this one. Love you Babe. And I’m not the only one that feels that way. 🙂

I can’t believe how those darling girls have grown! Soooo cute!
I got a hoot out of Simone, with her puckered lips and attitude.
Some mornings are just like that! You could see it didn’t take her long to warm up. Sidney is all sunshine isn’t she, what cute pictures of her! Robby and Megan just get more handsome and beautiful each year. What a fantastic couple and picture of sweet love! Grandpa looks darn good too. Such a sweet guy! Next time get someone to get you in those pictures, Girl!
Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I love these of your family. I really enjoy keeping up with you all on your blog.

Oooooh boy. I see the frame budget needing an increase, and more wall space, please!!! MOM! You are fantastic! One would never know that the “conditions” weren’t perfect this day- which besides taking wonderful pictures is another talent of yours. You say we go with the flow, but you’re the one who makes messes into masterpieces through the lens!

My oldest and that sassy pose is killer, as are Simone’s red, red lips in each picture. My favorite of the family is the stairs, and the leaves in the air. SO thrilled you captured Simone’s pout face!!!

Thanks for the abundant compliments in the post. We love you!!!

These are lovely photos of some of your lovely family. Those are some pretty great kids you have. (They have a pretty great Grandma/Mom, too!)

Now these are some fun pictures not too posed. Loved them and those girls look more alike then ever. How cute are they!

There can be a certain advantage to knowing your clients and what they will do and won’t do … as in little people. It’s always a treat photographing my own family. Your family is definitely more reserved than mine! 😉

Lora Lee, knowing you are watching from Colorado always gives me a smile when you send a comment my way. I appreciate you!

Photo shoots just aren’t the same if “reflector Mike” isn’t there 😉 They look great, and I love the sassy Syd pose!

I just want to frame all of those pictures and it’s not even my family. It would be great to have a room full of these pictures all blown up on canvas. It would be the joy room.

Kathy G- you are the sweetest!!! The “Joy Room”…I love it! I must have a “Joy House” cause these cuties are everywhere!

I ALWAYS give you credit for your mad photog skillz but this family just looks great always. Love the creativity and the backstory. I agree with Megan, you’re going to need more frames!
