Two two-year olds three weeks apart — Jayden and Simone — keep our lives in awe of all the new things two year olds learn. They are little sponges and it’s so fun to watch. Simone had a little family/friend birthday party the end of April with a jump house, piñata, gifts, and of course oozy gooey birthday ice cream brownie cakes and she giggled and ate up every sugar laden moment of it. She talks up a storm and surprises me with the things she says and how grown up she says them. She soaks up the attention and learning from big sister who dotes on her much of the time. They are best friends for sure.
For Simone’s two-year old photo shoot we went to a beautiful subdivision were conditions were pretty nice but … getting Simone to “sit and stay” wasn’t happening, nor did I push it. She is TWO after all. 🙂 But isn’t she (and her big sister) beautiful girls and so cute in their matching dresses?! I think so. Oh, and Simone has a bit of a spunky attitude at times … when she isn’t pretending she’s shy and hiding behind her mom.
Sydney loves posing for the camera — below is her latest smile she gives me followed by a little slip of the hip and some arm attitude. She cracks me up.
In case you didn’t know, Sydney loves her little sis hugs. They are pretty tight as sisters.
I finished up some candid images from the past month so I’m just going to add these here as well. My g-babes light up my life and my camera or cell-phone come out often. Looking back on past images — even if they aren’t photographic masterpieces — always makes me smile and I never regret the time it takes keeping them organized even when I’m weeee bit behind.
In this next picture MJ was all down hearted because he didn’t have anyone to play soccer with. When I told him I would play with him he informed me that “girls can’t run fast.” Maybe he doesn’t quite understand gender profiling yet, but I did my darndest to try and explain it. 🙂 Girl power!
What this next one means is “I’m lucky to have you as my brother, Dude.”
The boys love to help me bake but I can’t really understand what the attraction is!
One of my favorite photos of the year … Jayden sharing with Simone … Simone dropping it … Jayden catching it. 🙂 You believe that right?
And one of my favorite moments of the year … getting to share a fabulous dinner at Barbacoa with just my adult kids in celebration of Matt passing his electrical journeyman test. Proud momma over here.
And for those of you who made it to the end of this post, I’m impressed! You’re awesome! Love, Mary
