I just love photographing high school seniors and Sarah is my first this year. There’s just something extra special about getting to see a tiny insight into who they are and who they might become that makes the session extra special for me. For the parents that come along, there’s a pride of a child well raised and a hope of what lies ahead for their special senior. There can also be that “phew, we made it!” Some of you have been there, right?! 🙂 Having been adopted in Haiti as a baby, Sarah’s story was the first one. She had a quiet almost older soul about her during our time together. She was smart and had wonderful common sense and direction, aiming at becoming a nurse but promising to continue to pursue her art passion as well. Her smile was so easy and beautiful and braces were removed only days before our session. Now a senior at Vallivue High School in Caldwell, the year will soon come to a close, and yet another chapter will begin. Congratulations and best to you in all you pursue Sarah! You will do great! Thank you Denise for your laughter along the way and for allowing me to take “just one more” picture of your beautiful daughter. I hope they become a treasure. Mary 🙂
This next picture is such a favorite of mine from this session. There is just such beauty in the most unlikely places of Boise.
Sarah, I LOVE this next image the most. You couldn’t have posed more beautifully with your surroundings. The red Japanese Maples in the background and the spring budded bushes in the front make this such a feminine girly image – like you! Such a fun contrast to your comfy casual sweatshirt in the pictures above (which I love too!) Can you tell I just loved photographing this girl! I seriously kept saying “just one more.”
It just makes you want to dance, doesn’t it? Love to all, Mary
