Sammy and Lexxy – Turning 4

Meet soon-to-be four year old fraternal twins, Sammy (in purple) and Lexxy (in aqua), with their naturally curly blonde hair and one freckle per opposite cheek. They are the daughters of a co-worker of mine and were bundles of energy just the way four-year olds should be. The day couldn’t have been any more beautiful with temperatures in the 60’s making it perfect for the girl’s new Easter dresses to make their appearance. When we were talking about locations to shoot at, their mom agreed that a place in nature with rocks to climb on and water nearby would be fun for the girls. When I reminded her of this the day of the shoot she said “I know … what was I thinking!” In spite of the difficulty in getting two girls to sit side-by-side for any length of time (with all the temptations that surrounded them), we had a great time and I didn’t want it to end (while admitting I took a power nap when I got home!) Now on to double the cuteness, double the sun, these little girls were fun, fun, fun!

For the following photos, Lexxy is now in in pink and Sammy is still in purple.

WOO HOO! We’re done! Thank you, Sheila, for the joy of photographing these adorable girls. You are twice blessed! Mary

What beautiful little girls–so photogenic. Though my favorite picture was the close up one of Sammy in the purple dress with the serious expression on her face looking over her shoulder at the camera. Something aabout that picture made feel as if I might weep. Your photos are seriously special as always, friend.

Thank you Linda. I loved that one too … and the third one of Lexxy hugging herself. My two favorites.

Yes and they loved it. It was the only time I could get them to sit together for any length of time. I had a sheet under them so we could do it over and over and over.

Wow, you did an excellent job of capturing their personalities in these photos. I can just imagine that they were little balls of energy and I can even feel the energy! Great shots.
