It’s been awhile since you’ve seen my kids and grandkids because I’ve been busy, but this should do the trick for now. And for those of you who haven’t seen my son in a while, yes, that’s him under that curly beard. 🙂 The kids recently moved to the neighborhood next to ours so as my friend Marsha said the other day … “not so close that they can’t see your house from their’s but close enough to know where your tools are!” 🙂 MJ (or Matthew as he goes by in school, and Bubba at home), is now a big second grader and learning math in a way I can’t figure out, and doing well at reading. He is particular many days about how his hair looks and how wearing his coat doesn’t look cool – stuff that makes me know he’s growing up faster than I think. When I go to school I can see him and that blonde hair a mile away against a sea of dark haired children from all over the world. I love that he and Jayden are introduced to all the different cultures and sees everyone on an equal level. Jayden is now in Kindergarten and has surprised me how well he sits and pays attention. He is our clown and I was sure he’d be the class one, but nope he is a good listener and loves school. He has had the opportunity to go with his mom to volunteer for two years now so he knows the ropes. He’s still a lover and has bountiful inner joy. Matt is still working for a large electrical company and running a job site as a lead journeyman. He has really moved up the chain over the past several years and we couldn’t be more happy for him. Danielle is still doing hair and volunteering in the boys classrooms several days a week and is loving redecorating their new home. And last but not least is my granddog Bowie who is now nine. The kids got her just after returning from their honeymoon. You will recognize these pictures are once again from Hidden Springs, a popular site with my clients this year, but it has so much beauty and variety. Enjoy. Mary
… and then somebody farted.
