Megan, Robby, and Sydney

If becoming a grandparent was only a matter of choice, I should advise every one of you straight away to become one. There is no fun for old people like it. -- Hannah Whithall Smith

A big thank you to my daughter for being so agreeable as to go “urban” with their family portraits and to dress exactly as I wanted them to — with a mix-match of colors that “don’t have to match but just have to go” — as infamously said by Clinton Kelly and Stacey London of the long running TLC show called What Not to Wear. Even Robby was a sport wearing green argyle socks! I love that show and I loved this photo shoot. We were on the same block for all this variety – loved it. Sydney is a busy one so I bought a little stool to help contain her, and when need be, her parents and I bribed her with raisins which did the trick quite nicely. Oh my, I took a gazillion photos and I had some fun on the editing end of things experimenting in Photo Shop — a program I am not gifted in by any means — but I am learning. I hope through these photos (and the ones of Matt, Danielle, and MJ) that you’ll get to see a side of our kids that you might not otherwise see.

I’ll admit there’s something eerie about how I lightened up Syd’s eyes in this next picture, but they just go with the smirk, don’t you think?

I heart this family.

There must be those days in every young family when your kids are just climbing the walls. Literally!

If you haven’t had family portraits in a while, let yourself go, do something crazy, and just imagine the possibilities.

Loved them. I am admittedly jealous of the family pics and regret that I was fully unaware of your talents during any of your visits! Keep up the great work.
