There’s just something to be said for a good cousin. Growing up, family gatherings were always so much more fun when you had someone to hang out with — or pick on — whichever the case may be and Mike’s still pretty soft on his little cousin, Jonette, the youngest of three in her family. Sadly, both of her siblings and folks have passed away, but she has us, and we have her. She’s one of those ladies that laughs easily, doesn’t know a stranger, is highly organized, very attached to her colorful lipsticks :-), and very down-to-earth. She’s the one that hosted the “Hoedown” that I blogged and bragged about earlier this summer. She loves to do it and does it like no other! She has a gift of making those around her feel welcome and extra special. She is in constant motion with her latest venture called “Idaho Lifestyles Excursions” soon to be on a website near you! If you want an Idaho adventure, she can make it happen and take care of every detail from beginning to end. Her hubby, Tony, is a kind, laid back and hard-working man who after many years of working in Management and Sales for the coffee industry has been able to purchase his own Texaco station on Vista Avenue called “Tony’s Texaco.” It’s across from The Holiday Inn so if you’re ever in the area, stop by, fill-er-up, grab a snack and say howdy. Then there’s their three handsome boys, a petite and sweet daughter-in-law and two stinkin’ cute grandbabies to round out the family. They made arrangements for me to photograph them at a beautiful wedding venue that offered so many backdrops — loved it! It was so pretty and Jonette did a great job picking the family colors.
The girls wanted to change their shirts for a second family shot and while that was happening, the little guy wandered off and sat down on the bridge. His mom thought he needed a little sis to keep him company, and I have to agree it made for a pretty sweet picture … if not for some nerves having her by the water … but mom was just out reach of the picture. (On a side note … not only did Jonette change shirts, but she changed her makeup and lipstick color too! Seriously, who is that organized! I was impressed.)
Jonette and Tony, thanks for the love, good food, good company, and great parties! You guys are truly one of a kind. Love ya, Mary
