April and May have been busy months so I’m definitely behind in spending time on my blog, but I do see blue skies ahead now that the house selections are all finalized. Speaking of blue, these kids of mine makes me feel anything but in these happy colors they are wearing (sounds like a fashion show runway description). Jayden, my sweet little g-babe — up front and center — turned two on April 8 so wanted you all to see how handsome and big he’s getting. I always say it’s bitter-sweet that they are growing up. He is tender and loving, a hugger of my legs, independent (aren’t they all at this age), self-entertaining, and so cute in his speech. “Gramma. Bridge. Water. Hurt.” Translation: If you jump off that bridge into the water you’ll get hurt. Every word is a complete sentence with Jayden and his vocabulary is growing in leaps and bounds. He has taken on the little brother syndrome where if something is taken from him he will start to cry. As I did on Mother’s Day when this happened I said “it’s ok, Jayden, just shake it off” (something we all learned from my nephew) and sure enough he shook his little hands and wobbled his head and stopped — more distracted by the command to shake than what it really meant. He’s his daddy’s son in looks with his blue eyes and blonde hair and with his deep little laugh that was Matt’s as a boy, but he’s his momma’s boy for sure.
For this next picture I asked Jayden to give me the look of a superhero and he literally ran off. I looked at Matt like “what the heck” and he told me he was running like a Super Hero. 🙂
Below is MJ (Matthew Stephen Mouser Jr) who is my oldest at 4.5 years. He looks like his pretty momma and is a busy boy, talking about anything and everything almost constantly, a lover of cartoons (like his dad), as sturdy as they come (49 pounds) and a perfect candidate for all things sports. He’s in soccer now and always informs me of the number of goals he’s made … 49 usually.
I love you kids! XXO Gramma
