James – Class of 2012

Welcome to my first senior photo session! Woo hoo! I had so much fun doing this shoot. James is such a nice polite young man (and you know how I like bossing people around) so he just went with the flow … as did his parents and sister and girlfriend, Sarah, who came along for support (and to try to get him to laugh when putting on his serious face, which I happened to love.) Sarah was invaluable in helping me with the reflector at times and desiring to be a photographer herself, even came up with some pose ideas so thank you Sarah!

James and I had a few things in common. He goes to Boise High. I went to Boise High. He goes to FBC. I go to FBC. He’s really cool. I’m really cool … like I said James and I have a few things in common.

In 2010 James and the youth of FBC went to Kenya on a mission trip. The World Cup was taking place in South Africa so he got this cool shirt in honor of the occasion. He likes baseball — especially the Yankees — and he likes to watch Green Bay play. He is working on attaining the main project for his Eagle Scout — to repaint and fix up a room on the Veterans Wing at the River of Life Rescue Mission so kudos to this fine young man. He has attended FBC since birth and now sings in the worship band at the “Hub”. Rumor has it that future goals are of becoming a Police Officer and I have no doubt that James will do whatever it is he sets out to do. He’s just that kind of neat kid!

Our last location was at “Freak Alley.” Seriously, that’s what it’s called. If you live in Boise, you must go downtown to see it. It’s very cool.

I love how Lady Liberty is giving  James the eye in the background.

Best of luck in all you do James. May God pour His blessings on you as you work hard to reach your goals and may your Senior year be a rewarding one. Have fun at Homecoming! It was my joy to photograph your handsome face and I hope you had as much fun as I did. Now get to school you two. 🙂 Mary

You did great- and you two do have a lot in common! I liked the serious face with the freak alley pictures the best. Will be interesting to hear his (and his girlfriends’) favorites!

I agree … love the alley shots with all that fun color … and his blue shirt … and that macho look of his. Good job James.

These were sooo good. I think James did a fine job of following instructions–however, how could you not take great pictures of such a good, handsome young guy. Congrats to James on his senior year and hurray for Mary for a job very well done.

By the way, I also LOVE the pictures in Freak Alley!

Ditto to what Megan and Linda said…..The blue shirt in the Freak Alley…..so totally awesome! Love the shot of Boise High too, and I have that in common with you and James too, and by the way Mary, anyone from Boise High is cool, so don’t forget that, us Braves have got to stick together! It will be tough for James to pick the pictures he likes as they are all turned out so good, I would say your first senior portrait sesson was a huge success…here’s to many, many more….Hey Seniors out there, wise up, Mary Mouser IS WAY COOL! (:

I just read the last line over and over and over and over. I think I’m starting to believe! Thanks for the laugh Roberta.
