Grace Lynn, named after her great-grandma, was so adorable at 7 months! I think her folks said she weighed somewhere around 15 pounds dripping wet which is only two pounds more than my 6 and 8 week grandbabies! She may have been itty bitty but she definitely stole the show and I may have vowed never to take pictures of anyone but 7 month olds again. Ha! J/K, but she was so good and so fun. We all came with lots of props and her dad, Ryan, was excellent at helping with the reflector while mom, Jessica, was the spotter/quick change artist. Grandma Terry was there as well to give Grace all the encouragement she needed. What joy this little girl brings to her family. 🙂
You’re going to see a lot of this first facial expression. It was her new thing which makes me think she may be getting a tooth. It actually took me back to when my own daughter was 6 months old and she did it. I always call it the “dried apple face”. Don’t ask me why … it just reminds me of the lines an apple gets when it dries and Gracie had the little apple “hair stem” at the top to go with it. I thought it was Capital A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E then and I think it’s adorable now. Funny how something can take you back to another time and place.
I usually state my personal favorites but honestly, I had so many this photo session. Ok, if I have to choose, it would be these next two shots.
This little christening dress was handmade by Grace’s great-grandma, Grace. They say there’s a hundred more homemade goodies where this came from. Beautiful!
Part of why I love taking pictures is getting to know new people. Jessica was referred by Rachel and Zack (parents of newborn Rhett) and word-of-mouth referrals are always so rewarding. Thank you Jessica for your call and the pleasure of getting to meet all of you. Here’s hoping seeing this photos makes your Father’s Day weekend even better! Mary
