A few months ago I was invited to enter an “Idaho Scene” photo contest sponsored by a friend’s husband who works for the State of Idaho. Up to five photos could be entered. The top five overall photos were to be matted and framed 16 x 20 and would hang in the hall of their offices. There were 75 photos entered. None of my photos are hanging 16 x 20 on their walls … BUT two of my photos were selected to be in a fund raising calendar featuring 13 photos selected from the bunch. Hellooo! Honored! The calendar was then printed by BSU and I have to say I was completely taken back by the quality of the calendar — spiral bound and on hard card stock with the photos bordered. Nice work BSU! If that wasn’t exciting enough, I was even more surprised to find out that BSU now wants to use some of the ERAC photos to make their own calendar to be given out free on campus for faculty, staff and others. They asked permission to use my two photos again so that was pretty cool. So you see, I am now a 2012 Calendar Girl for “Miss July” and “Mr. October. 🙂
“Miss July” was taken of the Wells Fargo Bank Building early in the morning before going to work. I was in my parking garage across the street.
“Mr October” is a complete stranger who actually was fishing all alone (contrary to my last post). This was taken on the Boise River near Ann Morrison. My vantage point was from the walk over bridge.
Wishing you all blessings in 2012! And special kudos to Gloria and Michael. I appreciate you!!! Mary
