I Heart Faces Photo Challenge | Pets

I have been following a wonderful website for some time now called I Heart Faces (a photography website). They have weekly photo tutorials, great articles by people who know what they’re talking about, and weekly photo contests. This week’s theme is “Pets” and it just so happens that I recently got five new “pets” for the Easter season … with one being my very favorite. I call him Big Ben. While this photo was taken when he was only two days old, the chicks are now a week old now and already getting feathers and starting to flap their wings (and will probably soon fly to the farmer who is willing to take them), but until then I am enjoying their peeping, their different characteristics (I bought two different breeds), and their ability to make kids of all ages smile. Please click on the camera at the top of this post to see all the other wonderful entries.

Adorable. My curiosity has gotten the best of me……What and the heck are you going to with them when they get older???? though I am looking forward to seeing them get older.
Thank you for your kind words on my blog. I’m am enjoying the process… though I don’t know how to reply back to comments without making a comment on my own. Still learning…….

Laura, you made me laugh. I have a farmer who has agreed to take the chicks whenever I am ready to deliver them. Only trouble is I am getting attached to the stinkin’ things … especially the bigger yellow ones who are starting to try and fly out of the Rubbermaid once in a while. I suppose the day I come home to chicks who have “flown the coop” into my hobby room will be the day they go make friends with 30 other chickens on the farm. I’ll be sad though as it’s fun to watch them grow so fast. They were itty bitty the day I brought them home at a day old and now just one week later they are getting lots of wing and tail feathers. About commenting, yes, your comments go on your blog when you reply to someone but you have a few choices. In Word Press, I have an option for people to sign up for replies if they want. I’m sure Blog Spot does too. Then your readers can choose to select “to receive comments” on a particular post or not. What I did to be sure you got this post was to attach your e-mail address as well. If I wanted, I could then go to my blog and “edit” out any part of the comment I want. Hope that helps. There is quite a learning curve in starting a blog as I’m sure you’re finding out. You are doing great — looking forward to more!
