I Heart Faces Photo Challenge | Whimsical

Visit http://www.iheartfaces.com/ to see more photos of whimsy.

One of Webster’s descriptions is “acting or behaving in a capricious manner” and if you don’t know what capricious is (cause I didn’t), it’s “given to sudden and unaccountable changes of mood or behavior.” We were invited to a “Hoe Down” this weekend and this little guy’s mood and behavior most definitely changed when he got his first horsey ride! His name is Rocko and he’s a mighty cute 2-1/2 old.

I literally got one shot from this angle and this is it. I was going for sun flare, and while I got it, I got waaay too much. Even so, I love the fairy tale atmosphere and the memories it brought to me of riding horses bareback as a young child on my Grandpa’s horse farm in Pennsylvania. Good memories were made and remade this weekend.

For other participants in I Heart Faces, I am asking (begging?) for your help. I am asking what I might do to improve this photo because it certainly needs it. I have PSE 6 and just purchased FB Texture Action Petite Set but I am still learning and don’t really know where to start. Please, constructive criticism gladly accepted! Thank you,┬áMary

Love the Photo. And I know what your talking about how ones mood can change with a horse around. I had a horse when I was growing up and my mood was very different when I was around my horse. I love the lightness of your photo and the expression of boy melts my heart.

This is such a beautiful image….love the light, the little boy and the mood of a beautiful sunny summers day! Sorry you are having trouble using your textures in PS Elements. You are welcome to e-mail me. I used to have elements (now have CS5) and know it can sometimes be a little tricky. Have a great day and hope you frame this lovely photo!
