Hudson and Grayson [Newborn]

Meet Hudson and Grayson, my first set of twin itty bitties since starting Fairly Candid. They were so little and such sweet babies and I was so impressed with their folks, Cody and Tiffany. They were such calm parents and so grateful at every turn so it’s easy to see they are up for the challenge of raising twins. The boys arrived at 37 weeks on February 26. Hudson, the oldest by three minutes, has brown hair like his dad and weighed 5.15 lbs while Grayson has blonde hair like his mom and weighed 5.10 lbs. With the babies only a few days from turning three weeks, they weren’t very cooperative at first. Of course they wouldn’t sleep for the first long while (story of my newborn life), and let me think … was Hudson the first to poop all over things or was it Grayson … oh wait … it was both of them! Oh my, so much pooping going on, and sometimes on each other that their legs were stained yellow! But with the poop came the laughter from us adults and to wash off the poop came the pee. It was quite a commical beginning to say the least. But, all great stories have a great ending and so it was with Hudson and Grayson who finally …  finally … gave it up and settled into a deep sleep letting me do my thing. I am learning that with newborns you just have to go with the flow, find the joy, and wait them out. 😉 A word of thanks to all my girl friends who covered these boys and this session in prayer! Love you guys!

Ok, time to get these boys to SLEEP! Nothing like a good tight swaddle to eventually do the trick.

Finally they sleep.

Tiffany, Cody, and Holly, it was so great meeting all of you. What sweet boys you have and I can’t wait to see them again. The year will pass much quicker than you ever dreamed so keep that camera of yours clicking. With appreciation, Mary

Oh thank you so much Tiffany! I’m so glad you love them, and I learned so much from my first twin session so thank you for being so patient with me. I hope you got a good nap after the session. I sure wanted one. 🙂

Homerun, Mom! These are amazing! I LOVE all the b/w you did- and the ones of them together are so sweet!!! You positioned them just right to cuddle one another! I love the heart one, and also the last two.

Isn’t it fun to know that people have Fairly Candid walls at home thanks to you?
