October 20 celebrates the 5th birthday of my oldest g-babe, MJ (Matthew Jr.). A week ago his folks and Grampa went hunting for Danielle’s first bull elk (she got a nice 6 by 5), and I got the joy of watching MJ and Jayden for 48 hours. Our time was filled with all things fun, but the first hour together was spent at The Boot Barn picking out new boots and cowboy hats. The boots were something we have bought each of the kids, but the hats? Well, the hats weren’t in the plan but once they slipped them on, we were all sold. I told MJ that for the hat, he had to do a photo session with me for turning 5, so we drove back to his house, gathered some cowboy jeans and a nice shirt then went to a fun subdivision entrance I have been wanting to try. MJ walked right up to where I told him to stand, and before I could direct him, he took this first pose and said “this is how a cowboy stands Gramma” … and so it went. 🙂 I think the pictures will speak for themselves as to the sweet, fun, cooperative, handsome grandson I have. Love you SOOOO much MJ! Happy Birthday!
Of course we had to get the littlest wrangler in some pictures too. Jayden was an April baby so is now exactly 2-½. He told me in the car coming home from the Boot Barn “Picked my own boots Gramma.” He was so proud of them and wears them with everything.
So now it’s my turn because MJ wanted to use my camera to take a picture of me so I seized the moment and let him.
Next is MJ’s version of his “silliest” and “scariest” Halloween faces.
And here’s Jayden and mine. Oooo scary Mary!
And shouldn’t every cowboy have a picture with a cow? Yes they should. 🙂
Happy birthday to my favorite cowboy and his little bro. You make gramma very happy.
