Cole was born May 17, 2015 and now he is one … I can hardly believe it. He weighed 8.11 lbs then and weighs 24 lbs now and he’s 31.5″ tall which is at 96% — so like his dad and sisters before him, he’ll going to be tall! He has 8 teeth (and since these pictures a week ago is getting two molars) and he started walking a few weeks before his birthday so there’s no stopping him now! This little g-babe of mine is my 5th and my last (so all the kids tell me) and is a happy little guy as you will see. He’s all boy. His stay-at-home mommy is the love of his life … she makes him shine like no other even when he’s not feeling good like on this day. She “gets him” and he turns into a belly full of giggles and a face of squinted eyes with a big smile. He loves balls in every shape and form and he loves to wrestle his family members and is enjoying the water sprinkler or pool now that it’s turned hot. When he’s at my house he’s generally under foot in the kitchen or anywhere else but anyone who has a one year old knows you just want to freeze them at this age because of all the new things they are learning each day. He’s too cute in every way. Hugs and kisses Cole, love Gramma. 🙂 (Kudos to Megan for the beautiful banners she made for Cole’s party that you’ll see in this post.)
This next picture is to show you that sometimes he doesn’t smile … when he’s thinking about something.
Cole Issac, you sit down!
This little neighborhood kitty loved Cole … and he liked the kitty too until he got too close.
My little Huck Finn.
My daughter’s family doesn’t let the kids have sugar until they are older so in following tradition with Simone, he had a Watermelon Smash instead of a Cake Smash. It was too cold to have it at his birthday party, so Megan saved the experience for this day and he wasn’t all that into it … unlike his sister before him.
The photo shoot is over … time to drive back home before Mommy “gets me” because she’ll make me take a nap.
