“Framed” – I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

Framing is so fun to do in pictures. You can of course take a picture through “a frame” or frame your subject in a way that causes them to be the focus of attention in other ways. You can put them behind an object such as a wire fence and shoot through the squares, frame them in a doorway, window, between trees, through a car window, a toy, an architectural structure, or just about anything to add interest to your photograph. I love the simplicity of this image … it evokes something calming in me with the soft focus of the foreground leaves. It’s as if I peeked in on her quiet moment of meditation without her knowing it, but then of course we all know she did! She was a cooperative subject. 🙂 Her name is Alexa, a beautiful yoga student whom I shot late last October (see her full session here) and who is currently in Hawaii working on her Master’s program in Oriental Medicine. I got so many beautiful comments about this girl, and it was she who deserved them not me. By clicking on the I Heart Faces link below, you can see the other beautiful entries and be sure to check their website early next week to see the Top 10 Winners. Good luck everyone!
