Dead Drab of Winter

This is Saturday and while my desk top still awaits me, I figure it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

I was in the mood to be outside.  It’s b-r-r-r cold today, and this morning, well, it was even colder and it was thick with fog.  There’s something to be said for fog, especially in the dead drab of winter. All that junk and clutter that our minds normally see are hidden from view and everything just seems — well just seems calmer, you know? Everything is muted in color, details are missing, and moods are altered. Even weeds look prettier in fog, especially when they are covered in frost like they were this morning.

Wow- nice job on making drab winter look absolutely inviting and gorgeous. Where was the picture of the bridge taken?

It’s on Eagle Road at Lake Moor – a new subdivision they are still devloping. We went for a long drive Sunday morning to Arrowrock Dam with Grandma and I was hoping for a nice photo, but pulled out the camera and the battery was dead. Oops.

It looked like you were in Europe or something far off like it. Beautiful shots, as always.
