Day 6: Burst of Red

32 Day Photo Challenge. Day 6: Burst of red.

I’m a literal thinker and I seriously stopped at the store last night after Bible Study and dinner to buy red balloons and confetti. Then I got home and watched my recorded favorite show SURVIVOR (where I was sad to see _____ go by the way). Then at something like 10:00 I filled three balloons with the confetti, got my tripod out, stuck a safety pin in my backscratcher, and set my camera to a high shutter speed and continuous mode. Well after three attempts and stars literally all over my room, a dog who thought she was going bird hunting, and no image except a red balloon with a backscratcher in the first several pictures, followed by a picture of blankness with only a few blurred shards of confetti in the next one, I gave up and went to Plan B. I present to you Plan B called “Burst of Red”. 11:18 PM. Good night.

Your imagination never ceases to amaze me. Beautiful picture.

I love it! But I do have to ask. . .what was the safety pin attached to the backscratcher all about?

Ok, I reread your post. I get it now. However, I think maybe I’d like to see this stunt of yours to get a picture. Maybe you could recreate it for us on Sunday!

Linda and Megan … I just might try it again some day but without the confetti for starters. Oh my, what was I thinking?! I don’t think the Kathy’s would want to clean it up either. It went out into the hall and up the stairs! Sydney and MJ would have thought it looked like a party. :-)

I love that idea – can’t imagine what your room looked like after! And didn’t the popping of the balloons wake up Mike – or does he sleep through it all! And yes – we just love glitter at our house – me and my girls would dance in the confetti for weeks!
