I have to tell you that I had a blast doing this session the day after Christmas when it was only 29 degrees out side. The snowy cloud cover gave such beautiful diffusion and the slightly falling snow was an added bonus. I can’t even fathom that I was out in that cold for an hour-and-a-half, let alone, Daryn in less than warm clothes, but the time flew and we had fun! Daryn, 25 and big sister to Alexa, graduated in May from UNC Wilmington with a degree in psycology. She has applied to several PHd programs and hopes to move to a new state and a new adventure soon. Alexa just moved to Oahu, Hawaii to work on a four-year Master’s program in Oriental Medicine. Smart girls! I had just as much fun editing these images, and plan to step it up a notch in 2013 starting with these. I had fun with color, black and white, contrast, and a little haze, mixing it up as I felt inspired. I’ll also be posting less pictures of each session on my blog so that when the CD arrives, my clients have something new and fun to see. Dyan, such a joy to get to photograph your girls and may these images warm your heart through the long periods of not getting to see them.

First off…I want that bomber jacket- she is rockin’ it. Love those gorgeous blue eyes (or were they green?) with that brown hair…sometimes I think that’s what Syd will look like when she’s older…brown hair and killer eyes.

The first pic is my favorite- what a flirtly little look. And how fun to do them in the snow! At least it was a little snow, not like the inches we’re getting today!!!
