Meet Charlie and Jackson, a soon to be first grader and kindergartener. Their family lived across the street from us for years so it was so great seeing them again and how they had grown. Charlie was a mischievous little guy who loved keys. Mike and I left for camping once only to realize we didn’t have our trailer keys … we called Angela, and sure enough Charlie had our keys in his pocket! And it was more than once that he locked his parents out of their cars — with him happily driving inside! He says he doesn’t do that anymore, and I’ll attest that he is a mindful, serious and sweet little soul, wanting me to come home with him after the long photo session (ahhh). As for Jackson, he was always a lover and as a little toddler would yell across the street “hi Mike” even if he had just been over. Such cute boys. 🙂
It’s hard to look this tough when you’re really pretty sweet. The boys were so proud of the toys they built and wanted their picture taken with them.
The boys were pretending they were monkeys except for Jackson who was a gorilla. He invited his mom up the tree to be their “Monkey Mommy.” She happily obliged.
And what a good sport “Monkey Mommy” was too. 🙂
And at the end of the session what better reward than Cotton Candy Ice Cream? It was so great seeing you and the boys, Angela. You are right, these days are numbered, and now that the boys will enter school, those days will fly by even faster so this will be a perfect Father’s Day gift. Here’s to the memories! Love, Mary
