Dakota Hunt-Split Session

Dakota is a senior at Mountain View High School and while he hasn’t quite decided what career path he’s going to take just yet, he is very interested in the software part of computers and the video game industry. I did a split session with his big sis, Sierra, a few years back so that’s […]

Vince - October 13, 2017 - 9:40 PM

Mary, do you have a preference between black & white and color? All of your work is excellent, of course, but these black and white portraits are just marvelous.

Fairly Candid - October 14, 2017 - 11:50 AM

Yes and yes, I prefer black/white AND color. 🙂 Some images lend themselves better to b/w especially if there is a lot of contrast in the image such as bright lights and dark shadows or dark and light clothing, etc. I really love the timelessness of b/w. Thanks Vince. I appreciate you looking in.

Tracey - October 16, 2017 - 8:31 AM

My goodness what a handsome young Tall man. He looks so sure of himself. I hope he goes far and is happy in the choice he makes. Can’t wait to see more in the Spring.

Becca Mehl

Yay! It’s senior season. Becca started the fall off right with her energy, beauty, cute fashion sense, and athleticism. And she’s smart too wanting to go into the medical field to one day become a nurse. I got the fun of photographing her sister Rachael last fall and their mom says the two couldn’t be […]

Christopher [2017 Senior]

Meet Chris, a Lacrosse playing senior at Skyview High who wants to be a commercial pilot! Now that’s not something you hear every day. While on our session he teased his mom, Jami, that she might want to give him a plane for his graduation gift but her laugh pretty much gave it away that that […]

Jesse [2017 Senior]

It’s always an honor for me to get to photograph someone I’ve been acquainted with for a long time – in this case Jesse, a handsome young man who attends Bishop Kelly who is as nice as his smile is big. His family has been intertwined with ours over the years through First Baptist, hunting, doctoring, […]

There’s something extra special about getting to photograph high school seniors and Dylan was no exception. It’s fun to hear their plans for the future and some of the places and experiences that helped shape their life. For Dylan he grew up near the river and attended Adams Elementary so that’s one of the places […]

CASEY! Parker played lacrosse on the same team last year! What a small world. Casey is the sweetest kid but on the field, watch out! He was the only player on the team to out-score Parker. I love these pictures. Perfectly handsome and masculine and even some love for mom.

Fairly Candid - November 12, 2015 - 11:13 AM

Small world is right. I’ll be sure Cody reads your comment. She’ll beam even more than usual. Casey will love hearing that too and congrats to Parker for being so aggressive on the field too. 🙂

Cody Myers - November 16, 2015 - 1:41 PM

Oh Aubrey it is a small world! I will tell Casey about your nice comment! He and Parker were sure fun to watch in lacrosse 🙂 Can’t believe we have a senior, boy does time fly! :)Mary does such a great job, she is very talented indeed 🙂

Sarah [2015 Senior]

I just love photographing high school seniors and Sarah is my first this year. There’s just something extra special about getting to see a tiny insight into who they are and who they might become that makes the session extra special for me. For the parents that come along, there’s a pride of a child well […]

The Seifrit Family [2015 Senior/Family Combo]

I am going to start this post off in a most unusual way and say that I believe in God in case you didn’t know that about me. It’s a small world (after all) and God allows His mysterious ways to bring us joy in … well … mysterious ways! Take for example this note […]

Christina Seifrit - November 13, 2014 - 2:48 PM

Dear Mary,
These are WONDERFUL!!!! Thank you for everything! We have not had any families pictures taken since 2006, when Hannah was about 4 years old. So, we have NONE with little Melody. So, having family portraits taken were long overdue, and you made it so incredibly easy, fun, and extra special! We just cannot thank you enough for what you have done!

Blessings,
The Seifrit Family

Christina Seifrit - November 13, 2014 - 2:56 PM

…And thank you for Michael’s Senior Portraits! I could not be happier about how they turned out! He looks so grown up, but I still cant stop thinking about him as an itty bitty toddler. Thank you, again. Oh, and Sam has already requested that you do HIS Senior Portraits. 🙂

Fairly Candid - November 16, 2014 - 6:48 PM

Well, what a way to bless my day! Thank you for you sweet comment and for the one about Michael as well. For those of you reading this, I asked Christina, Eric, and Michael to all yell “Senior” in the shot with just the three of them. Christina started to cry. Oh no! But it was just all that love and memories that sits right there at the top of our mind with our first senior. I just love love. Don’t you! (PS and tell that handsome Sam that I would love to shoot his senior pictures! I won’t even think of retirement till he is done. Wink)
