Day 6: Burst of Red

32 Day Photo Challenge. Day 6: Burst of red. I’m a literal thinker and I seriously stopped at the store last night after Bible Study and dinner to buy red balloons and confetti. Then I got home and watched my recorded favorite show SURVIVOR (where I was sad to see _____ go by the way). […]

Your imagination never ceases to amaze me. Beautiful picture.

Linda J. - December 6, 2012 - 1:06 PM

I love it! But I do have to ask. . .what was the safety pin attached to the backscratcher all about?

Linda J. - December 6, 2012 - 1:10 PM

Ok, I reread your post. I get it now. However, I think maybe I’d like to see this stunt of yours to get a picture. Maybe you could recreate it for us on Sunday!

Megan - December 6, 2012 - 1:32 PM

Perhaps you can keep trying to get that shot- I bet it was amazing…love the creative ideas you have…this challenge bit seems like a cinch for you!!!

Fairly Candid - December 6, 2012 - 1:42 PM

Linda and Megan … I just might try it again some day but without the confetti for starters. Oh my, what was I thinking?! I don’t think the Kathy’s would want to clean it up either. It went out into the hall and up the stairs! Sydney and MJ would have thought it looked like a party. πŸ™‚

Kathy - December 7, 2012 - 6:49 AM

I love that idea – can’t imagine what your room looked like after! And didn’t the popping of the balloons wake up Mike – or does he sleep through it all! And yes – we just love glitter at our house – me and my girls would dance in the confetti for weeks!

Day 5: Someone I Love

32 Day Photo Challenge. Day 5: Someone I Love (Text below picture)   Are you surprised that I would pick my dog for this challenge?! Aren’t there people in my life that I love more than a dog? Well, frankly, yes. But I can’t pick a child or a g-babe … that would show favoritism […]

Linda J. - December 5, 2012 - 9:14 AM

I know that look!! Were you holding a treat Mary?

Fairly Candid - December 5, 2012 - 9:18 AM

Duh! I was standing on the kitchen counter throwing party mix. I had to edit out the drool. Ha ha!

Your Man - December 5, 2012 - 4:48 PM

Better looking than your old man anyway.

DAY 3: What I’m Reading

32 Day Photo Challenge. Day 3: What I’m Reading Most people read silly novels that talk about steamy romance, great adventures to far away places, or murder and suspense. Sigh.Β I miss those days … maybe this winter.Β The last book(s) I read were the Hunger Game Series, and before that the Twilite Series.Β I do get excited […]

Kathy - December 4, 2012 - 6:14 AM

What a card! You are too funny!

Linda J. - December 4, 2012 - 9:07 AM

The Hobbit. Nothing like a good book about far off places way off in Middle Earth by one my favorite authors whom I consider brilliant!

Day 2: Elf

32 Day Photo Challenge. Day 2: ELF This Christmas, how about you and your “Loving Family” take the challenge and make Christmas magical for someone outside of your family. You never know, it might just bring a smile to your heart in ways you never imagined. “Loving Family” are Sydney’s favorite thing to play with […]

Megan - December 2, 2012 - 9:02 PM

Oh. My. Hell. I can’t wait to show this to Sydney tomorrow morning. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Megan - December 2, 2012 - 9:03 PM

P.S. Looks to me like the Gramma in this picture has had one to many Raspberry Smirnoff Ice’s. Just saying. πŸ˜‰

Fairly Candid - December 2, 2012 - 9:12 PM

No, you’re wrong … Gramma NEEDS one more Rasberry Smirnoff! I think Sydney will have LOTS of questions for you … so glad you’ll be showing it to her instead of me. πŸ™‚

Linda J. - December 3, 2012 - 9:15 AM

Well gramma is getting up there and may have some trouble holding her arms over her head to corral her hair–you know, arthritis and all. The raspberry Smirnoff just helps her not to care so much.

your Man - December 3, 2012 - 4:36 PM

I can’t afford any more Smirnoff’s.

Fairly Candid - December 3, 2012 - 5:21 PM

Oh my gosh … all this Smirnoff talk is going to give my readers and clients the WRONG idea about me. One folks, one Smirnoff every few weeks … not hours as it sounds like from these comments! πŸ™‚

Day 1: Me

32 Day Photo Challenge. Day One: ME (Introduce Myself) 1. I can be intense and very driven. If there is something I want to do or accomplish, I’ll do it even if it kills me … which luckily hasn’t happened just yet. Good thing genetics on my mom’s side has me living to be a […]

What a cute picture! I love that I learn more things about you each time we talk. It’s nice having you as a friend…and really, I don’t think too many daughters can say that.

Your Man - December 2, 2012 - 8:07 AM

You are all of the above and I love you for each and everyone.

Fairly Candid - December 2, 2012 - 8:47 AM

You guys, what sweet comments. Love you for that. ME

Kathy G - December 2, 2012 - 3:21 PM

No, we all love you MORE!

Diane D. - December 2, 2012 - 4:32 PM

Mary you are the best!!!!!!! And I am blessed to call you my friend. Nice picture.

Linda J. - December 2, 2012 - 9:18 PM

I was noticing our “evolving” hair color over the many years–but darn it we all still look pretty good for ladies in our 50’s! Great job on the photo. I am so glad you chronicle our lives and the lives of families, yours, ours and others. I’m blessed to be a part of this lovely group of friends.

Kathy J. - December 3, 2012 - 6:57 AM

fun pic. I’ll chime in with Linda’s comment about how glad we are that you are keeping up with photos to chronicle our fun times together. And what truly beautiful and fun photos they are. Our group is the best group of friends EVER!

EMILY STROMER - December 3, 2012 - 8:28 PM

Aubrey - December 10, 2012 - 10:28 AM

Lori - November 10, 2012 - 2:07 PM

We LOVED this one! So, so sweet!

Fairly Candid - November 15, 2012 - 2:57 PM

Thank you everyone! I know the pumpkin idea has floated around so it was fun to do our own version. It was so fun all the way from going to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect 44 and 45 pound pumkin to letting my kids carve the guts because there was no way I was going to! We had to transport all the other pumkins as well, but again, I just got to do the fun part of photographing my g-babes.

Photo Challenge | "Hey Girl!"

The I Heart Faces Monthly Photo Challenge theme for May is “Hey Girl!” and my almost 2-1/2 year old granddaughter, Sydney, has something to “Hey!” about. As of April 28, she’s a new “Big Sister” and while I am trying to find the time to edit her baby sister’s newborn photos, I thought this might […]

Duhhhhh! (Actually, she was looking at her mom thinking “okay, I sat here and looked pretty … can I have my gum now?”

Mary, I love all the fun happenings in the Mouser fam right now, most of all that you are capturing them on camera & narrating for us! You are a such a talented Grandma, I can’t wait to see what spills over into these grandkids.

I Heart Faces | Hugs and Kisses

It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, and that’s exactly what I did about a half hour before posting to this week’s I Heart Faces photo challenge. I had my post all done with a cute picture of my grandkids hugging … one that I sent out as Valentine cards to the family (minus […]

You couldn’t have submitted a picture more indicative of love in a hug! - February 19, 2012 - 11:03 PM

Thank you Linda. What a friend you are. I couldn’t agree more.

Roberta Johnston - February 19, 2012 - 11:05 PM

Could either one of them have a bigger smile on their faces??? This is so very precious and just melted my heart. After having spent this week with my niece and her new baby, during a tough delivery, a tough recovery, then a baby with jaundice, I realize just how special these little guys are and how it DOES take a village to raise a child! As much as they depend on us, I depend on them even more to remember just how BIG our God is! Thanks for this amazing picture Mary, loved it!

Cathie Alonzo - February 19, 2012 - 11:18 PM

Best smiles ever-Mikie is pretty darn cute too! - February 19, 2012 - 11:31 PM

Congrats on the new baby … just sorry it was a hard time coming. I know about the jaundice thing because of MJ’s delivery. Makes it hard on the parents for sure. So which one of the Village People will you be? Thanks for your comment … you always brighten my day. - February 19, 2012 - 11:32 PM

That cute older man in the picture keeps giving his grandkids whisker burns!

Carolyn Clark Photography - February 20, 2012 - 7:54 AM

If this is your second choice, I’d love to see your first! I can feel the love from here.

Tracy P. - February 20, 2012 - 12:36 PM

What a sweet, unplanned moment! Love it!

Megan - February 20, 2012 - 1:07 PM

Yes- they have kiss marks from Grampa that last the rest of the night!!!

I’m glad you chose this photo instead of the V-day one…something about spontaneity that makes it that much more precious. - February 20, 2012 - 1:23 PM

Thank you Carolyn for your comment. I stopped by your blog as well but can’t make it leave a comment (I have been having issues on my end). I see you are a new blogger so welcome and can’t wait to see more images from you in the future. You started off with a darling one! Good luck!

Matt - February 21, 2012 - 2:17 PM

I see the smile and hear the laugh every the past couple years and don’t think i will ever get tired of it, how could you. I love that boy of mine. What wonderful grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends he has. Thanks for all the pictures.
