Tammy and Brittney

Tammy is a co-worker of mine. By day she is a Legal Administrative Assistant, by weekend she is Unit Commander for the Snake River Young Marines/Training Officer for the 6th Young Marine Division, and at all times she is mom extraordinaire to Brittney. Tammy was one of the first ladies to befriend me at the firm. […]

All I can say about Mary’s photos is … wow ! Capturing the true personalities, Mary has that “knack” for seeing the pictures within her subjects. I can’t wait to see future pictures by her !

Jim, Michelle and Ryan

Working with these guys is so much fun. Literally with Michelle at our job, then second on a beautiful crisp November day for our half-hour photo session. Okay, it was more than crisp, it was 39 degrees, but did I hear any complaints? Not one. We kept moving, though, so that helped. I first photographed […]

Gorgeous, love the fall leaves.

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 4, 2011 - 10:50 AM

It’s not as pretty now since we got colder weather, wind, and some rain. It was the peak weekend for sure. I’ll bet it’s pretty in your neck of the woods in WA. Send me some pictures. Love, Mary

Holly - November 4, 2011 - 12:12 PM

Mary,

The pictures turned out sooo amazing!! Thank you so much for spending the afternoons with us! Ryker loved running around the park! I would love to be able to tell you my favorite, but they are all so wonderful I can’t begin to choose. I am already looking forward to our next photo session!!!

Thanks,

Holly

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 4, 2011 - 12:37 PM

Yay! Thank you Holly for the sweet comments and e-mail. My husband can’t get over the fact that Ryker is only 14 months … says he looks like he’s two. Oh, and what a fun surprise to have you subscribe to my blog. I wish you guys all the best on your destination wedding and I’ll look forward to meeting up with you again one day. Happy Holidays! (It just seemed appropriate to tell you that since it’s snowing right now!)

Superheros: The Family

When you were growing up who were your Superheros? Was it Flash, Supergirl, or The Fly of the 50’s? Or how about the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men, The Avengers, or Captain Marvel of the 60’s? Are you surprised that many of our Superhero movies of today were from the Superhero Cartoons of 40-50 […]

Seeing the wonderful photos of this beautiful family that I admire and love so much made me weepy. Andrea’s Mom will be thrilled to see her beautiful family on her wall while she is so far away. You did it again Mary!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - October 18, 2011 - 8:44 PM

Thank you Linda. I’ll be honest that I was pretty proud of this session … and I want their yard!!!

LoraLee - October 18, 2011 - 10:32 PM

Oh Mary, what darling pictures of such a beautiful family!! You are so blessed to have them in the church!!

to capture such gorgeous pictures. Not to mention that sweet personality that would invite a wild animal to
lay at your feet!!
We treasure the precious book you made for our 50th anniversary. A gift that keeps you close to our hearts!!

Kathy Grover - October 18, 2011 - 10:42 PM

It just gets better and better, huh?

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - October 19, 2011 - 7:30 AM

Lora Lee, you’re the best and I appreciate you. Your comments made me laugh with ‘wild animals lay at my feet’. Hilarious. I love making books but sadly time hasn’t permitted it much since having grandkids and starting Fairly Candid. I’m busy but will never regret the photos I take — especially of my growing family. Seriously, can you believe I am going to have FOUR grandbabies come April. Oh boy, I think I’m busy now … just wait. We always look forward to seeing you guys. Hope it’s sooner than later. Love, Mary

Andrea - October 19, 2011 - 12:42 PM

Mary:
As I looked through the pictures tears were welling up in my eyes. Do I “like” the pictures? Oh my goodness, we love them! Wow. Thank you. You have a true gift. It is a gift you have been given by God that you graciously & generously give to others through your photography. Thank you for such a great batch of pictures that will fill many frames, bring back many memories, and you certainly captured the true growing personalities of our 7 1/2, 5, and 4 year old. I cannot wait to “gift” these pictures…as I know they will treasured.

Thank you, Mary. Thank you!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - October 19, 2011 - 1:28 PM

Thank you Andrea — you are so kind! You guys made it so easy for being so willing to do anything. Your kids are so cute (inside and out) and Mike commented last night that Autumn was such a little doll. You have even more poses coming on your CD. I can get carried away (as you well know).

Team Priebe » FairlyCandid.com - October 9, 2012 - 2:54 PM

[…] Meet Team Priebe! Matt, Team Captain, Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church for 5.5 years, and the craziest jumper I’ve ever seen. Andrea is Co-Captain and all-around team support and organizer, a lover of kids and youth. Madelyn at 8-and-a-half (the halves matter at this age) is in third grade and is so smart and ready to tackle anything. Brennan (I called the poor lad Brenner all morning) is 6 and a Kindergartner and a constant reminder of my son at that age with his blonde hair, blue eyes, and fun personality. Autumn rounds out the family turning 5 this December and has the team title of being the “bossiest” by her sister, although I never saw any of it. You will see she kept a wary eye on me most of the time, but when she let go of her smile, it glowed. You can view their last year’s photo session here. […]

Swani River (Family Session)

Isn’t that just the cutest title. I came up with it because my cousin’s daughter-in-law, Bobbi, called me about photographing their family while Grandma “Swani” was in town. I thought her name was so darn cute … and we were down by the Boise River after all … sooooo … Swani River. 🙂 These guys were […]

Cathie Alonzo - October 5, 2011 - 7:32 PM

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - October 5, 2011 - 8:29 PM

Eep!? That’s a new word I’ve never heard … and I think I like it!

Kathy Norwood - October 6, 2011 - 5:37 AM

Mary, this are so wonderful. I’m so glad to see your work here and I am definitely going to have to follow your blog now! Miss ya’ll lots.

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - October 6, 2011 - 5:57 AM

Kathy, I am suddenly nervous having a professional looking on! 🙂 For those out there reading this, Kathy is the wife of a cousin (Grant is her nephew) and she is a professional wedding photographer in Texas who does a-ma-zing work! I am a total amateur next to her but I hope to keep learning! Thanks for the nice surprise to hear from you Kathy.

Jason and Christine

Christine has spent many a night at our house since she and Megan were best friends all through high school. She went to BSU where she met Jason, and they in turn re-introduced Megan to Robby (after one chance meeting that didn’t go so well) — and it’s been love ever since for both couples! […]

Family Portraits | Cottonwood

The thing I love about going to Cottonwood is the hospitality and how we are always made to feel at home and have access to anything we need (like a box of 175 individually wrapped York Patties that were extremely less in numbers by the time I left). The second thing I love is all the photos on […]
