Addi – She’s One and on the Go!

Who doesn’t love a ONEderful one-year old?! Little Addi kept me moving, that’s for sure. Since she’s already been walking for a few months, every stool, basket, and blanket wasn’t good enough for her … she wanted to be up and moving … and climbing and unclimbing, and then moving again.  🙂 I think you’ll […]

WOW! I just want to say WOW! You have such a fun part time job with taking pictures. Those eyes are something else. You can tell she is definitely not a sitter but a mover. Love the tongue picture! Great job! I think my favorite is where Addi is standing by the green fence and the last picture is pretty cute!
They are all great Mary!

Fairly Candid - September 26, 2013 - 9:28 AM

Tracy, thank you! I always love hearing people’s favorites. I think my two favorites were the fourth one down with her arms out, and on the pink chair that she wouldn’t let anyone help her get on. Thus, the clapping.

Kari Overall - September 26, 2013 - 10:45 AM

Thank you so much! I love them! You were so great to work with!

Fairly Candid - September 26, 2013 - 11:45 AM

Thank you Kari, and you as well. 🙂

Lori - September 26, 2013 - 8:47 PM

Mary, you did a FANTASTIC job capturing Addi’s sweetness. We just LOVE her to pieces, and I can’t explain how well you did showing what a sweet, beautiful girl she is! Great work!

[…] is quick and fast on her feet! I first photographed Addi when she was one and if you look back here, you will see she was quick then too! She had me on my toes and trying every trick I had. She was […]

Lily at 18 Months

I may have set up the shots but Gramma Gloria set up the smiles! These were taken at my friend Gloria’s house where she babysits her 18 month old granddaughter, Lily. She woke up from her nap, got on her pretty dress, and let the smiles flow for Gramma. Such love between these two — […]

Mary, you never cease to amaze me. Those photos are spectacular and I love every single one! I can’t wait to get copies to show off! Thank you so much for your hard work!

Fairly Candid - August 26, 2013 - 11:06 PM

Your baby girl is soooooo adorable. I just find her irresistible and can’t believe how long and beautiful her hair has gotten since I last saw her. It was fun to hang out with her and see her little personality. And I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more exact clone of someone than her of you … both beautiful. Thanks for the sweet comment. Mary

Jacqueline Fravel - August 27, 2013 - 10:03 AM

Gloria - August 27, 2013 - 11:35 AM

Mary….thank you so much! What a special gift to capture these moments and memories of a lifetime. I love them all! I think my favorite is the sixth one down. She was all giddy and looks adorable in that shot. You do wonderful work! Thank you so much!!

The Girls

This is the third time in recent months where a grandma has hired me to photograph their grandchildren who were from out of town and were here on vacation. What fun for me to help make memories that will forever be in the family photo albums! Three of the girls were from Colorado — Caitlyn and Jillian […]

Oh Mary. These are wonderful pictures! Eva is a DOLL! If I were her parents I would have a hard time picking my favorite picture! They are a very cute couple. I wish the family all the best in the world. They should have a great time raising such a cutey.

Fairly Candid - July 16, 2013 - 8:19 AM

Tracey, thank you for such sweet comments. It was a hot and humid morning down by the river but we had a good time. In Canada, they get a year off for maternity leave so Rhonda is definitely enjoying her time with Eva.

Danielle - July 16, 2013 - 9:27 AM

Love them…the people, the view, the pictures and of course the cute little helpers! I can’t pick a fav because I love them all. Makes me miss them even more now! Great pictures!!!

Fairly Candid - July 16, 2013 - 10:26 AM

What nice comments Danielle. I’m sure they feel the same way about you guys.

Bobbi - July 16, 2013 - 6:24 PM

Hope all is well with you and yours. The grandkids are growing so fast!

Megan - June 24, 2013 - 2:34 PM

My favorite kind of post- catch up and bits of pieces of what you’ve been up to and all the fun inbetween, candid shots that have taken place to tell the story.

LOVE the sweet smile on Syd’s face before church- and can envision Sydney telling MJ- “MJ. MJ. EMMMMJAYYYY! Do you want gum? You want me to get you some gum?” in the picture where she’s meeting his eyes. That first picture of the dunes is amazing and it was fun to see the little raccoon up close and personal- since he didn’t give US that opportunity!

Oh, and I busted up when you made the neighbor comment. Let’s just hope she’s not a subscriber. 😉

And lastly, Mone with the broccoli. Ahhhh, fulfilled.

Danielle - June 27, 2013 - 1:21 PM

Best one of all…the one of the dads and their sons 🙂 They all have the perfect smile on their faces!

Kathy - June 29, 2013 - 6:44 PM

Great fun pics! Love the Dad picture with son and grandsons

Kathy - June 29, 2013 - 6:49 PM

Thanks for the pics of my beautiful grand girls! They are so pretty in their ballet shots. I need the one of the 3 together on my iPad screen shot!!! I also love the shot of Abbey. And oh, that sweet devilish smile of Sydney beats them all! What a killer!

Aubrey Archuleta - June 30, 2013 - 2:29 PM

These are my favorite types of posts. I get the whole she-bang that makes up your wonderful life. It really is sweet to see such a full, beautiful series of events. I’m blessed to take a peek in through cyberspace.

Fairly Candid - June 30, 2013 - 8:39 PM

Thanks Aubrey, it’s not a perfect life by any means, but these g-babes sure make it more special!

Fairly Candid - June 30, 2013 - 8:40 PM

One of my favorites as well … right after MJ and Sydney with the flowers. They are both going into frames.

Linda - July 1, 2013 - 10:29 PM

There is some extreme cuteness taking place in these pictures. As always your photos are full of life and fun. Gosh you even made it look like Abi was enjoying her ballet performance!

Three Sisters

Abie, Tori, and Sami are three sisters who were in town visiting their grandma and grandpa from Carlsbad, New Mexico. Grandma arranged the photo session but sadly couldn’t be there so Grandpa came in her place as well as the parents who I got to order around … “Here Jim, hold this reflector … carry this stool … […]

Love the pictures Mary! I don’t know which one I like the
most. The Girls are so beautiful and different. Love their
eyes and their smiles, freckles and fresh look.

Aubrey Archuleta - June 11, 2013 - 8:20 PM

So different from my world of boys but so sweet! Love those freckles especially 🙂

Maureen Vernon - June 11, 2013 - 8:58 PM

Mary, you did such a super job shooting my grandgirls! You chose a lovely setting, and Don, Jim, and Stacia enjoyed seeing you work. You gave us a long-lasting memory of their trip to Boise.

Fairly Candid - June 11, 2013 - 9:40 PM

Maureen, thank you for the lovely compliment! I think photo sessions should be fun so I hope the girls had as much fun as I did. Kudos to you for having them bring their “lips”. I might have to steal that idea for the future. Hey, I take credit anyway I can. Ha!

To Tracy and Aubrey, thank you girls too for your comments. You always lift me up … and I agree with both of you … the freckles were so cute!

Emily – The Big ONE-O!

While Grandma Laura (whom I consider a great friend and a co-worker) was working, and Daddy Josh was away moving the family from Houghton Michigan to Reno, Grandpa Dave, Beth, Isaac, and little sister Emily were at my house playing. Well, mostly Isaac and Grandpa were playing … us girls were trying to get pictures […]

These pictures are GREAT! Those Blue eyes are something else. They are beautiful. Looks like Emily is going to have curly hair. That diaper is pretty wild! They are really cute children!

Aubrey - June 11, 2013 - 8:23 PM

I think you have found the perfect way for me to curb the baby hunger! I need to start accompanying photographers on this type of shoot. Babies are just the best plus I could go home and sleep through the night 😉

Simone’s “Watermelon Smash”

You’ve no doubt heard of a “First Birthday Cake Smash” (as in Jayden’s sugar-free cake here and Gracie’s Cake Smash here), but Megan came up with the idea for a “Watermelon Smash” as an alternative for Simone on her first birthday. There was no smashing it however, only eating it and she LOVED it! The ground […]

Melted Mama - April 30, 2013 - 4:46 PM

So we’re going to have a watermelon photo wall I guess, cause seriously?! This was bliss…this is bliss. I am in love more than I can handle.

The pucker lips? The big eye whites? The smiles? The four kids together and Mone trying to eat MJ’s? It’s just too much….

Fairly Candid - April 30, 2013 - 5:01 PM

I know, that last few of Simone bending over to get MJ’s is pretty funny. MJ’s expressions are a kick too, and Jayden just watching the action is so cute. I liked how Sydney caught on at the last minute and was laughing too.

Linda - May 1, 2013 - 9:17 AM

Ok, just when I think you can’t take a cuter picture you take another just as cute. Nothing like being in the right place, at the right time, with a camera in your hand to get those shots of Simone going after MJ’s watermelon. Priceless.

Fairly Candid - May 2, 2013 - 6:24 AM

It was priceless … and I have two new frames just begging for a new picture … hmmm, which two will make the cut? Definitely one of each baby at ONE.

Up Up and Away to Simone’s First Birthday!

Simone’s ONEderful Birthday was just two days away when we gathered for these shots and Jayden’s was three weeks prior. It was a warm day and so who wouldn’t want to take a hot air balloon ride? I was quite impressed with the balloons holding over 25 lb babies! Wink (Photoshop). Simone came sporting her […]

Are you kidding me. This is the absolute cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Babies in a balloon basket!!!! I die. Cutest ever.

and polka dots! and baby chubs! and pigtails! and cowboy hats! ahhh! it’s too much 🙂

Fairly Candid - April 29, 2013 - 10:57 PM

What a fun comment Aubrey. I take that as quite a compliment coming from the likes of creative YOU!

Megan - April 30, 2013 - 8:55 AM

I knew this was going to be killer, but the results knocked my expectations OUT OF THE PARK. Seriously, Mom!!! KILLER!!! Thank you so much! …wonder where those cute polka dot balloons are now? 😉

Linda - April 30, 2013 - 9:38 AM

Oh my goodness–How darn cute are these pictures!! You managed to capture the cutest expressions on your adorable grandbabies. Loved the ones in the baskets with the baloons, in the wagon, on the tractor–okay, I loved them all. Simone’s piggy tail cuteness brought a smile to my face. But I laughed out loud (at work) when I saw Jayden’s expression when Danielle, Matt and MJ were making funny faces. I can almost read his thoughts. Terrific job, AGAIN, Mary. Love them.

Mike Mouser - April 30, 2013 - 4:41 PM

Baby, you never cease to amaze me. What a fun outing with our babies!!!

Fairly Candid - April 30, 2013 - 5:03 PM
