While the work is hard, the benefits of getting to hold and be around these last two babies has been pretty special! (Makes me so excited about my g-babe Cole coming in May!) My friend, Gloria, has two sons and two-daughter-in-laws who each now have a daughter of their own. I know Gloria and Michael’s grandparent buckets are running over as are the new parents, Blake and Sara, so congratulations to all! 🙂 And the best part – Addi was born on Valentine’s Day! Love, love, everywhere. While I started off a little misguided on my posing with little Addi because of her light sleeping, a good baby poop and a little nursing put her into a great milk coma giving me the opportunity to pose her like the princess she is. 🙂 She’s a pretty little thing and I think you’re going to love Addi’s professional debut at just 8 days old. It’s always my joy to see new parents interact with their new babies, and Blake and Sara were naturals. Baby love to all! Mary
This next pink hat and elephant were made by Sara. She also made a matching dress and booties and we decided it was best to leave them till Addi is at least 3 months – they were a bit big on the little lady.
This next one is a composite image using my basic Photoshop Elements skills, but still, I’m proud of how it turned out as not every baby can do it. All thanks goes to Addi and her wonderful milk coma. 🙂 (I guess momma should get some accolades on that too.)
There’s a story to this next one. The blanket was made by Sara’s mom and just before this pose, I moved Addi which made her decide it was time to poop. I saw it coming and to protect the blanket, I held out my hand and caught a handful — calling for back up when it was reaching the top! What I won’t do for these babies! The blanket came out with only a spot so we went on to do this pose.
Sara has 6 weeks off and Blake 4 weeks off and were both so calm when I was with them. One problem they are having though is they have tried and tried several different pacifiers all with the same end result — screaming. But daddy’s pacifier finger does the trick every time. I was teasing Blake that having him get off work every time he needs to pacify the baby might not quite sit right with his boss. Oh these babies! The things they do to us. 🙂
Congratulations and good luck! Love, Mary
