Two weeks ago I was photographing in 50 degree weather and one week later 9″ of powdery white snow! This session is of my son’s family and they are brave and tough through and through. The day before the session, I called Danielle and asked if she wanted to postpone her photo session a week because it was only supposed to be 7 degrees. She said “that’s in the morning — by the afternoon it’s supposed to be warmer.” And it was. A whopping 19 degrees! My kids were game if I was — and you know I was — so we planned for an Eagle Island session last Saturday afternoon. There turned out to be a cross county ski event at Eagle Island so we left and went down the road a bit. It was Sunday in the paper that we learned of the awful abduction of a young man who was on a cool down run from the event. He apparently accepted a ride from a man in a red truck with a metal tool box (of which Matt has), by a man in his early 30-40’s (of which Matt is), who had close cut hair and a scruffy beard (uh huh), and wearing a red jacket (yup). Luckily the young man was able to jump out of the truck on McMillan Road (our route that day) and run to safety. This all took place at the same time we were having pictures taken in the same vicinity. Let’s just say we have proof of an alibi with these pictures when the cops come knocking on my son’s door!
Jayden is 2-½ and MJ just turned 5 on October 20. Aren’t they just so handsome!
This next picture is terribly blurry and the sled didn’t work in the deep snow, but I just had to include it just for the expression on Jayden’s face. It’s so Jayden.
