Snowshoeing 101

We were invited to snowshoe into a yurt for a two-night stay by friends months ago. I was on board instantly while Mike was more realistic and contemplative about our ability to do it. No matter what, we were going! Eight of us took a hike to the yurt in October on dry ground to […]

It was a lot of fun getting lots of exercise and hanging out with great friends. I, too, worried too much about our abilities. But it really did feel like a victory when we were standing on that deck after making it all the way and it wasn’t even THAT hard-nothing more than a good effort and sweat. Have you contacted the General Mills people yet, Mary?

Vince - January 29, 2015 - 2:56 PM

Great pictures! Now I have a good idea of what a yurt looks like. Good thing none of you are claustrophobic, though. You all look so happy — I’m glad you had a good time!

Mary you did a great job capturing of snowshoe trip. It was so much fun and wonderful memories. I am so proud of our men they worked so hard getting all our stuff up the mountain. And ladies we did it. I was worried I would not make it. And I am ready to go again!!!! It was so beautiful in the mountains.

Your photos bring back memories of an awesome weekend with great friends. Great times, great pictures only 1 problem, are time was too short, we’ll have to do that again. We were blessed with fantastic weather, good food & lots of laughter. We’re lucky to have a friend that’s as good a photographer as you are. Thanks for posting your adventure.

What a great trip with great friends. It was an awesome experience to say the least. A special thanks to our friends for helping us to prepare for this adventure. An to our photographer {my babe} you always have a way of capturing the best pics. It was a weekend I”ll never forget. Looking forward to our next trip in a couple of months. Love ya all.

Simone Olivia

Some of you have heard me tell cute stories about my littlest g-babe, Simone, now 2-¾ years. She has some fire behind those big brown eyes of hers that sometimes gets her in trouble but the closer she gets to three-hood, the more she learns that acting nicely gets nicer results. Demand something of her and […]

Beautiful little sweetie Mary 🙂

Linda J. - January 21, 2015 - 9:17 AM

I still think she looks so much like her daddy. However, that 3rd picture down with her hand up, now in that one I see Megan. She has her Mama’s beautiful smile.

“ONE”DERFUL MADI

Anyone remember that cutie above born January 24, 2014? It’s Madison and now she’s ONE! Oh, how fast a year flies! She’s so adorable with her big full cheeks and chunky legs, her eyes that are so dark you can hardly tell where the pupil begins and her iris ends. She’s not walking yet, but boy […]

You’re KILLING me with these!! I want to hold her and squeeze her and make her stay small forever. 🙂 Excellent work Mary! You captured beautiful baby and mama perfectly!

Fairly Candid - January 20, 2015 - 1:35 PM

Thank you Crystal. You crack me up and I completely agree. One year olds get so darn cute from here on out as they learn something new each day to make us laugh.

Fun Day Snow Day

So many of you out there have started off the new year with so many good intentions and probably even have a plan to carry it forward. Not me. I am terrible! I eat carbs and chocolate and sweet stuff all day while watching the scale tip skyward but for whatever (mental) reason I can’t […]

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge “Best Face of 2014”

Sydney is Simone’s older sister who turned 5 on New Year’s day. For her birthday we arranged to take her out for her one-on-one birthday adventure with Grampa and I to get ribs and visit the Aquarium (her choices). When we went to pick up Sydney and were ready to leave, Simone who is 2-½, […]

Oh Mary! Simone looks so much like her Mother in this picture. Love it. Great job.

Cody Myers - January 7, 2015 - 8:13 AM

What a little doll! Precious picture Mary, she has a very good chance of winning! 🙂 Cody

Megan - January 7, 2015 - 8:16 AM

There’s definitely some spitfire behind those sweet eyes!!!

Linda J. - January 7, 2015 - 9:24 AM

She is adorable and that is a terrific picture. Little ones do say exactly the thought that is running through their heads at that moment. Once I asked Carson when he was about 2, “I don’t think you like my hugs or when I mess with your hair.” He answered is deep little monotone voice, “No, not so much, but I like Poppy.” I guess Poppy didn’t try to show affection as much and he appreciated it. He was just so cute, I couldn’t help but try!
