A Mouser Family Christmas Card

Two weeks ago I was photographing in 50 degree weather and one week later 9″ of powdery white snow! This session is of my son’s family and they are brave and tough through and through. The day before the session, I called Danielle and asked if she wanted to postpone her photo session a week because it was only supposed […]

Beautiful pictures of a BEAUTIFUL family!

Danielle - November 22, 2014 - 8:13 PM

3 things…
1) I am amazed that you actually got decent expressions out of my out of control 2 1/2 year old.
2) They turned out even better than I could have ever imagined…especially with how cold it was!
3) Good news…Matt hasn’t been questioned by the police yet! 😉
Thank you Thank you Thank you!! We are blessed to have such an amazing photographer in the family 🙂

LoraLee Carter - November 23, 2014 - 7:54 AM

What a DARLING family!! Such great pictures of everyone! The boys have grown so much since we have seen them. Cuter than ever! Then of course, Mom and Dad are no slouches!!! Absolutely beautiful couple, they look like models!
Your work is fantastic, Mary.
Sounds like Matt almost got hauled in for questioning!!! Boy he fit the description all the way around didn’t he? Sure are some crazy people out there!!
Can’t wait to see which Christmas card we get from the kids!

Katie - November 23, 2014 - 8:21 AM

Seems like the snow was the perfect prop! Another great shoot, Mary! I’m anxious to see which ones they choose for their card, as they are ALL so great!

Becky Hamilton - November 23, 2014 - 8:53 AM

Wonderful pictures of a beautiful family!

Linda J. - December 1, 2014 - 3:41 PM

They really are wonderful pictures, even the one you say is blurry–what a beautiful family.

The Mouser’s » - November 27, 2016 - 4:19 PM

[…] Matt, Danielle, MJ (now 7), and Jayden (4½) who braved the snow and cold the second year in a row (see last year’s) to capture some winter wonderland Christmas card pictures. Bowie is their lab who got to come for […]

The Swails Family Boys

Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. These three had me running! Amanda saw our session as a way to get some new updated images of Gus 5-½, and twins Peter (in orange) and Henry (obviously in green)  — who are 3 years old today so Happy Birthday boys! — but they saw it as a […]

Seeing this post makes me even more giddy that there’s a boy in my belly!!! The hair on those little men was amazing!!!

The Swails Family » - September 30, 2015 - 8:44 PM

[…] I cleaned it up but nope. You can see their one year pics here, their almost two year pics, and almost three year pics should you want to see more cuteness. Amanda and Nick, thank you for a wonderfully fun session […]

The Severns and Wielenga Families

Ok, I’m going to be honest here and say I am really jealous about this post. Barb Severns and her daughter Lori Wielenga were some of my very first clients when I went public with Fairly Candid four years ago. They have had me shoot their family six different times in those four years!!! My […]

Oh. My. Gosh. That combination of photogenic subjects and photographic skill is just killer! It makes me happy to look at them!

Lori - December 28, 2014 - 3:45 PM

Mary, you are the very best, and we LOVE them! xoxo

The Ellis Family

They’re back and cuter than ever! Jason, Christine, Quincy, Cooper, and Carter were on my blog the end of July and now they’re back to create their Christmas cards. The boys have changed so much even since July. And “Carter Bear” just turned ONE! What?! How does that happen? Since their last post Jason and his business partner […]

A gorgeous family inside and out. I’ve got those cute Ellis men pegged for my daughters. Every pic is adorable, but I love the one of the three boys and the one where they are posed with her suggestion. Well done!

Christine - November 19, 2014 - 2:47 PM

Mary- They look great! The colors are just beautiful! I love the individual ones of the boys. You are right, I’m going to have a hard time picking which ones to use for our cards. Thank you for making our family sparkle!!

Fairly Candid - November 19, 2014 - 3:56 PM

You don’t need any help sparkling. Love you guys!

LoraLee Carter - November 20, 2014 - 11:52 AM

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful family!!!! Didn’t Jason play basketball for BSU? Those boys are the cutest guys ever!!!
And Mom and Dad are such a gorgeous couple!!! Your pictures
are outstanding as always Mary!
Love to everyone,

The Busacker Family

I was so happy to get to photograph the Busacker’s again. They are such a nice family with such fun and polite kiddos — all of which like to have their picture taken so it makes my job so easy! Even Carston was on board this year. He is 9 and in 3rd grade and […]

Thank you Mary!!! Everyone always ends up loving it and I’m soooo glad I had you take the kids pictures instead of buying school ones. So much better!

The Seifrit Family [2015 Senior/Family Combo]

I am going to start this post off in a most unusual way and say that I believe in God in case you didn’t know that about me. It’s a small world (after all) and God allows His mysterious ways to bring us joy in … well … mysterious ways! Take for example this note […]

Christina Seifrit - November 13, 2014 - 2:48 PM

Dear Mary,
These are WONDERFUL!!!! Thank you for everything! We have not had any families pictures taken since 2006, when Hannah was about 4 years old. So, we have NONE with little Melody. So, having family portraits taken were long overdue, and you made it so incredibly easy, fun, and extra special! We just cannot thank you enough for what you have done!

The Seifrit Family

Christina Seifrit - November 13, 2014 - 2:56 PM

…And thank you for Michael’s Senior Portraits! I could not be happier about how they turned out! He looks so grown up, but I still cant stop thinking about him as an itty bitty toddler. Thank you, again. Oh, and Sam has already requested that you do HIS Senior Portraits. 🙂

Fairly Candid - November 16, 2014 - 6:48 PM

Well, what a way to bless my day! Thank you for you sweet comment and for the one about Michael as well. For those of you reading this, I asked Christina, Eric, and Michael to all yell “Senior” in the shot with just the three of them. Christina started to cry. Oh no! But it was just all that love and memories that sits right there at the top of our mind with our first senior. I just love love. Don’t you! (PS and tell that handsome Sam that I would love to shoot his senior pictures! I won’t even think of retirement till he is done. Wink)

Amy and Maci

Meet sweet Amy and her daughter Maci. I first met Maci three years ago when I shot her newborn session and now she is this feisty, fun, theatrical, adorable little blonde bundle of sweetness and spitfire. The two of them were on the eve of moving out of state to further Amy’s education, so Grandma Susie — a […]

Thank you Becky (who is my cousin for all you readers out there). I agree that they were beautiful pictures of a beautiful family.

Kathryn Webb - November 18, 2014 - 10:43 AM

Great photos, Mary! You really captured the energy & enthusiasm of that little girl. Mom & Grandma also.

A Waldbillig Family Christmas

Much of the time I’ve never met my clients until the day of the photo session, but just as many times I get to know some of their personality through the emails back and forth to set the date. Well, let’s just say I could tell right off that this family had a big personality! […]

Jessica and Dustin - November 7, 2014 - 8:24 PM

Hey Mary,

I got the DVD today, thank you! I truly love our pictures this year, I think you really captured our moment and we did have fun doing it. It didn’t feel like a chore at all! LOVE IT!!!! Much thanks and I promise to mail you our Christmas card! xo

The Archambo’s

Here’s another awesome family with an adorable little one and what a great time I had with Justin, Shari, and 11 month old Ruby — yes, named after a beloved family member. We were constantly moving to keep me warm (they were obviously much tougher than I) and to take in as many beautiful backgrounds as possible. […]

The Owsley Family

Meet Dean, Mindy, and Grace, another fun family I had the joy of photographing on a beautiful Boise day. Grace, being almost three, was so cute and proper and definitely loved — thus the shirt pronouncing it 🙂 — and can you believe we found flowers to match her outfit in this first picture! And […]
