Bombarded with Cuteness

“You’re about to be bombarded with cuteness!” I think that’s what my daughter said when I told her I was photographing her friend Christine’s kids and their cousins … she was right! Cute, cute, cute, and cute. There was Quincy, age 10, his brother Cooper, 2, and cousins Aiden, 4, and Skip, 2, looking so smart […]

Oh my handsomness!!! I love the outfits!!! I love the faces!

My favorites: Quincy’s first and last. Those eyes are gorgeous! Coopers squish face with those big sweet lips. My favorite of all four boys was the first unintentional goofy one…that needs to make it into a frame.

I can’t believe how much Aiden is a mini Billy and Skip looks like Grampa Joe to me.

Now, if we could just get a little lady in that picture…. 😉

Hudson and Grayson [Newborn]

Meet Hudson and Grayson, my first set of twin itty bitties since starting Fairly Candid. They were so little and such sweet babies and I was so impressed with their folks, Cody and Tiffany. They were such calm parents and so grateful at every turn so it’s easy to see they are up for the challenge […]

Oh thank you so much Tiffany! I’m so glad you love them, and I learned so much from my first twin session so thank you for being so patient with me. I hope you got a good nap after the session. I sure wanted one. 🙂

Megan - March 26, 2013 - 7:54 AM

Homerun, Mom! These are amazing! I LOVE all the b/w you did- and the ones of them together are so sweet!!! You positioned them just right to cuddle one another! I love the heart one, and also the last two.

Isn’t it fun to know that people have Fairly Candid walls at home thanks to you?

Sheila Clark - March 26, 2013 - 8:21 AM

Oh my gosh Mary! Those are so precious! The last 4 photos are my favorites!! They brought tears to my eyes. You have such a special talent.

Fairly Candid - March 26, 2013 - 10:53 AM

Well if sweet 5-year old Lily said it, then it must be true. 🙂 Thanks Jenness. (Thank you to Megan, Sheila, and Linda (by e-mail) as well. You guys are such great encouragement to me.)

Mike Mouser - March 26, 2013 - 5:29 PM

I must say, these are some of the best pics you have taken (except for our grandkids). You did a fabulous job. Very proud of you.

[…] been almost a year since I photographed Grayson and Hudson for their newborn session and I haven’t seen them since. Grayson changed the most to me with his red hair while […]

Gracie Lula [Newborn]

Aw, Gracie, you made my day! What a sleeper and hardly a pee-er you were. 🙂 The last time I saw Gracie’s mommy was back in her high school days over 10 years ago, and now she has two beautiful daughters … Greta, a chatter-box ham of a cutie that is soon to be two, […]

So stinking cute what a sweet little peanut. Her sis had a cute little personality too. I liked the ones with momma and of her in the green hat they were all so great. 🙂

Megan - March 19, 2013 - 10:01 PM

Another successful newborn shoot. Sorry, Mom- I don’t see you not doing them! 😉

Too many cute ones to choose from- I love them all! Nice work!

Jennifer - March 20, 2013 - 9:59 PM

“Framed” – I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

Framing is so fun to do in pictures. You can of course take a picture through “a frame” or frame your subject in a way that causes them to be the focus of attention in other ways. You can put them behind an object such as a wire fence and shoot through the squares, frame […]

Gorgeous! Love the colors and the pose 🙂

Idaho Aquarium – Sydney

Syd and I went to the Aquarium on the first day of March for a little one-on-one time together. She was surprisingly a bit timid with wanting to touch things … but she did. The sharks and stingray tank had her a bit hesitant and we spent the longest time there trying to get her […]

Oh how I love seeing pictures of that sweet girl smiling. The fourth down might make it to a frame. LOVE HER!!!

Not so sure about the Merman or the Mermaid painting…conclusion: the Aquarium doesn’t do mermaids all that well. 😉

As always, thanks for a fun, original and lovely Gramma Date.

Aubrey - March 3, 2013 - 7:53 AM

Love the potty talk when it is a little one. (not so cute when they are 13!) What a fun outing and I love her apprehension about the merman, I agree! Stay away! 😉

You really got her to open up on the last series of pictures, such a great way to capture that moment with her head thrown back laughing.

Kathy G - March 3, 2013 - 8:09 PM

This makes me feel like the universe is unfolding as it should. Some things are just so right and good!

Kay Lynn - March 4, 2013 - 6:48 AM

I loved the photos, too! My favorite part of the post, though, was Sydney being sure that Megan was out having ice cream! Ha ha! LOVE it.

Simone at 10 Months – Retro 1983

On the last post of Simone called “Pretty in Pink” Megan wrote a comment ending with “Ten months. Boy do I have a treat for you.” She did. I had Syd all day March 1st for a one-on-one, but I had also offered up a date night, so when the kids brought Simone over, to […]

KILL ME. ♥

Aubrey - March 3, 2013 - 7:55 AM

Vintage! Looks so cute on that dark eyed girl. Have you posted a picture of Megan in this?

Fairly Candid - March 3, 2013 - 8:55 AM

Hi Aubrey, I was going to post a picture only to find out my newest operating system on my computer won’t recognize the dinosaur scanner I have. I’m sure there’s a way around it, but it sounded like a longer adventure than I was willing to take. 🙂

Aubrey - March 3, 2013 - 1:51 PM

I hear you, all this technology is a lot of work!

I’m Officially Caught Up!

I have been a bit negligent of my blog this winter, using the time instead to get new pictures on my walls, time spent with g-babes and friends, movies watched (Silver Linings Playbook being my favorite), and some Spring cleaning done. When I have extra time (is there such a thing?), I sit and edit, and edit, and edit […]

Megan - March 2, 2013 - 4:13 PM

How fun to see random memories of last summer and earlier days! I couldn’t get over the picture of you and the one big tooth in the middle- so funny!

By far my favorite pictures were the five you took of the snow. I think I need to frame the first for Chrismtas time, and the third and fourth were just amazing. You should ask HTEH if they want your amazing work on their client Christmas cards…or any other business for that matter! I love learning more about you through the random and candid photos you take. What a treat!
