6 Days of Perfection: They call her Piper Jane

Be prepared to say “ahhh” … it’s inevitable with this little 8.2 lb. six-day old! My sister-in-law gifted this portrait session to her daughter-in-law’s sister and husband. They recently celebrated their one year anniversary and now celebrate the birth of their first baby so double congratulations Molly and Jordan! It was such a joy watching […]

These are just priceless, Mary! I love each and every one of them, especially the one of Piper with that adorable little smile and the one where her parents are looking down adoringly at her. And the one on the scale is so sweet! Love the pink cap with the rosebud ties……..you really inspire me! I know several expectant moms; hope I can do some newborn pics of their little cherubs when they arrive (and, like you, wish I had an in-home studio!).

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 29, 2011 - 11:08 PM

Thank you Cindy! Its always great to get an encouraging word from a fellow photographer! It’s always harder than I think it should be. Babies can be intimidating!

Molly - November 30, 2011 - 11:02 AM

Oh my goodness – you did such a great job! Thank you so much, Mary! They are so beautiful – each made me smile more than the last ๐Ÿ™‚

vickie - November 30, 2011 - 5:26 PM

o my goodness Mary the pics are adorable. Molly & Jordan probably love them now but will love them even more as their little one grows so quickly. You did a wonderful job as usual. Do not even think about not sharing your talent. You’re the best. ๐Ÿ™‚ Vickie

DA - November 30, 2011 - 8:33 PM

Oh, Mary, these are so very precious! You have captured Miss Piper beautifully and I love the pics of Molly, Jordan and Piper, too! Thank you so very much for capturing this special time in Piper’s life. These pictures will be treasured for years to come. I hope you will be available to take pics of each of my grandbabies! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you so very much! DA

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 30, 2011 - 8:55 PM

Thanks to both of you (DA and Vickie) for your sweet comments. She was the easiest so far in that she slept the best over the other babies as we moved her around. I think that she was only 6 days old was the key rather than waiting until they are two weeks. She was a doll and really gave me the bug to have two more of my own! I’ll really improve then and will be ready for Katie’s and Jacob’s baby! (Big smile inserted here.)

Megan - November 30, 2011 - 11:03 PM

OH MY HELL. And to think you were worried they wouldn’t come out. I love you, but you gotta stop that you know. Time and time again you produce amazing pics. I loved the two that were your favorite also and if they were my kid- they’d be up in a 30×40. I better start saving…I have plans on buying one after you take our pics. Awesome job, again. Keep up the great work and STOP DOUBTING!!!

Aubrey - December 1, 2011 - 3:53 PM

Love that red headed Mama, she is a STUNNER! No wonder that baby girl is so perfect!

Kidlets

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we always get to spend time with our good friends from Cottonwood to watch the BSU game. Mike and Pat attended the game in person while Cheri, Katie and Waylon, their two adorable girls, and my kids — and two likewise adorable grandkids — watched from the TV at our […]

The Babcock Family

Did you shop the day after Thanksgiving, or did you get some shots to remember the holiday with loved ones? Maybe both. Laura and Dave’s family came from afar to gather around their Thanksgiving table. Family is wonderful, God is good, and thankfulness abounds with this family. Some exciting news was revealed over the weekend […]

What wonderful large group poses, Mary, and what a beautiful setting! Here in Michigan, all our leaves have already fallen. Love seeing that autumn color again!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 27, 2011 - 9:23 PM

Thank you Cindy … wanted to do some sitting stuff but too much goose poop! Also the park has a great bridge with possibilities behind it but the bridge had chains on it when we went. Renovation I guess. Our leaves are pretty much gone too except for some oak tress and some odd pine trees that turn orange (which happened to be this back drop). I think we have a long winter ahead and for sure, Michigan must get cold. Brrrrr.

Cindy - November 27, 2011 - 10:16 PM

Yes, Michigan gets WAY too cold for me! Some snow is predicted for Wednesday and I am SO not ready! I’d be happy for a white Christmas and maybe a week or two of snow after that and then a quick jump into SPRING, my favorite season of the year!!!

It’s a … BOY!

The wait is over. The reveal was tonight. A gift to all the families on both sides. MJ is going to be the best big brother to: Jayden Lane Mouser Due April 11, 2012 He is already loved sooooo much! XXO Baby Jayden!

Awwww, what a cute post!!! I love the pics- especially the last one- theirs turned out MUCH cuter than ours.

Linda Johnston - November 22, 2011 - 9:40 PM

Wonderful pictures, wonderful news, beautiful family! Sweet little MJ IS going to be a great big brother. I guess I hadn’t heard the due date before but a marvelous man was born on that date exactly 60 years ago from April 11, 2012–Guy Johnston!!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 22, 2011 - 10:23 PM

The due date got moved up a week when she went for her ultrasound yesterday. She was three days behind Megan originally, but is three days ahead of her now. Cousins fighting for their alpha position I guess. ๐Ÿ™‚ And you know that date is also my sister Julie’s b-day so Jayden will have lots of company if he comes when he’s due.

Katie Blevins - November 22, 2011 - 11:12 PM

So exciting!! Do we get to hear news on Megan’s pregnancy too?

Kathy Grover - November 23, 2011 - 1:44 PM

Congratulations to all.

Christine Ellis - November 25, 2011 - 2:31 PM

Sooo cute!! Love the pics! Great Job.

Boise State Proud

BSU – 35 TCU – 36 So sad! Mike and I had finally committed to going to a BCS bowl game should we have won and my mind was already racing ahead to all the cool pics I could take in New Orleans. But, it wasn’t meant to be. It’s okay though Broncos — we […]

Roberta Johnston - November 16, 2011 - 10:00 PM

Here we go Broncos, here we go!!! Love the pics Mary! It’s amazing how diverse our Bronco Nation is with their unique outfits! Even the “older” fans are into dressing up, young at heart huh? Win or lose, we love our orange and blue! Who knows, we still may get to a bowl game yet Mary, so keep saving your money, I know we are, hope to see you guys where ever we are headed….

Linda Johnston - November 16, 2011 - 10:12 PM

I LOVE the three ladies with their pompom pig tails and orange and blue hair!! The four with their mohawk hardhats were pretty fun too. Yes, we do still love our Broncos!! Poor Gooddale, hope he lets this turn him into a more determined young man. Disappointment is a big part of life. Thanks for showing your team spirit!! Are you SURE you weren’t a cheerleader?

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 16, 2011 - 10:21 PM

Are you asking ME if I was a cheerleader? Me? I could barely get away from the wall in high school, let alone be a cheerleader. I think I may have come out of my shell a bit, however, otherwise I don’t think I could walk up to complete strangers and ask “can I take your picture?” They always seem to let me. Hmmm, go figure. Raw! Raw! Go Team!

Linda Johnston - November 16, 2011 - 10:35 PM

I think you missed your calling. “Cheerleader” fits you perfectly! Though I know how you felt in high school. People thought I was shy–and I kinda was, unless, of course, they really knew me and then well. . .then they didn’t think I was shy. Nowadays, NOBODY ever says I’m shy and NOBODY would ever call you a wallflower!!

Beth - The Botut Blog - November 21, 2011 - 10:12 PM

Love the colors and the dyed beards!!! OMG, I’m going to totally make my hubs do that for some occasion….don’t know what yet but I will find one!!

Luv it.

Jim, Michelle and Ryan

Working with these guys is so much fun. Literally with Michelle at our job, then second on a beautiful crisp November day for our half-hour photo session. Okay, it was more than crisp, it was 39 degrees, but did I hear any complaints? Not one. We kept moving, though, so that helped. I first photographed […]

There's Nothing Like a Party to Make You Smile

Who had more fun? The kids or the adults? What a fun birthday party, so many wonderful smiles in the bunch, couldn’t decide who’s was the brightest! Love the “plummer’s butt” photo, he’ll thank his grandma later when he’s older and sees it, but that’s what grandma’s are for, huh?

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 8, 2011 - 10:43 AM

You’re the first to mention the “plummer’s crack”. I wanted to say “like father like son” but stayed away from that.

Brenda Tennessee - November 8, 2011 - 11:23 AM

Thanks for stopping by mine. It gives me a reminder to come back here. I get lost in cyberworld sometimes.
What a great party! Love the pictures especially the plumber crack. An all too familiar picture around here. I love seeing the moms and dads interested and interacting. Way too many children grown never having this precious time with their parents.

Sheila Webb Clark - November 8, 2011 - 11:52 AM

OMGosh Mary! Love it! The little butt crack makes me smile… I also have photos of my girls bending over. Last Easter my niece was caught like that, reaching for an Easter Egg so I took a photo. The girls always remind me, “remember yesterday when Abbi was over and we saw her butt crack.” Hee…hee…

Aubrey - November 11, 2011 - 10:42 AM

That itty bitty butt crack…I DIE.

Deanna - November 11, 2011 - 12:12 PM

Wonderful photos! The crack made me giggle! What a precious memory.
LOL.

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 11, 2011 - 2:16 PM

Both of you mentioned the butt crack. I would have missed that shot had some guests not clued me in. Like father like son I guess!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 11, 2011 - 2:17 PM

Aubrey, you “crack” me up.
