HO HO HO?

It happens. The Grinch (Satan) comes to Whoville (our hearts) and stills the joy if we let it. I did. I got behind this Christmas and let the hoopla carry me away. But nothing like a family dinner party to force the house to get clean, the presents to get wrapped, and the cookies to […]

Pretty dang cute you Mousers. Too bad more people don’t Tebow–for real!

Your Man - December 21, 2011 - 4:40 PM

I will pray but never again will I Tebow it. Loving everything about you.

Beth - The Botut Blog - December 22, 2011 - 8:54 AM

Wow, has Sydney grown! I love these blogs for this very reason….you can see progression as if you are there.

Brenda Tennessee - December 22, 2011 - 12:10 PM

Such cute pictures. Love the one she is sitting in his lap. Your family looks like a fun group. I laughed about your daughter playing with baby Jesus. I gave my granddaughter a cloth-stuffed nativity scene and I looked down and she had baby Jesus riding in a toy harley motorcycle.

Aubrey - December 23, 2011 - 4:43 PM

Cute, cute, cute. I love that you guys stick together through it all…potty training, weird Santa, Tebow, whatever!

Megan - December 23, 2011 - 4:45 PM

We went to see Santa last night at the mall. When we arrived he promptly went on a one hour “dinner break”…didn’t know Santa needed to eat! Robby and I both agreed that nothing was going to out-do the Santa that came to Gramma’s house, so we left the mall. 🙂 That was so awesome- I’m sure I have better stomach muscles because of all the laughing. What a fun and memorable evening. Thank you!!!

[…] in awe. Sydney was his best friend as soon as that candy cane came out. You can see the pictures here. Not to miss out, Kathy is joining in the fun this year as well. Doesn’t she make the […]

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge | Pets

iheartfaces.com I was at a park this summer and came back to my car to find these two fidos in the car next to mine so asked the owner if I could take their picture. I think what intrigued me the most was that they had just come from the river and were allowed into […]

Hee hee! Cute!!

Aubrey - December 14, 2011 - 2:50 PM

I love that you jumped at the chance to capture this moment. By the way, I am not that nice either.

Cindy - December 16, 2011 - 11:21 PM

Love that you had your camera with you to capture this shot, Mary! Good capture of those wet curly coats and I’m with you: there’s no way I would let soppy wet dogs in my car! Thanks for the comment on my blog……..yes, there sure were some cute winners! I can’t believe the “smile” on that donkey; that picture definitely earned a first place spot!

A very Merry Christmas to you and yours! ~Cindy

Beth - The Botut Blog - December 22, 2011 - 8:57 AM

haha nice owner indeed! We took our Lab to the river and the entire ordeal was such an….ordeal!!! What a mess. Sadly, we never did it again.

Roberta - December 13, 2011 - 12:01 PM

what an amazing photo for the July segment of the calendar, love it!! Really captured the heart of Boise in this fantastic shot! Blaine was somewhat jealous of the other photo, he’d wished it was him flyfishing on the river!! So proud of you Mary!! Here’s to 2012 and your calendar!!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - December 13, 2011 - 12:04 PM

Always the encourager – that’s what you are! I just need to find more time in my life! Tell Blaine to get his pole and get out there … the fish are waiting … and I could be just around the corner to capture him.

Roberta - December 13, 2011 - 1:03 PM

Ok, so I can’t get the “Calendar Girl” song written by Neil Sedaka out of my head!! But it’s worth it! Makes me think of you! You are right, you could be around the corner anytime huh? so we’d best be on our best behavior, does Candid Camera come to mind???

It May Feel Like Winter, But It's Still Officially Fall

What does it mean to be a steelhead fisherman in Idaho in November? It means quiet man-time on the beautiful river, rich in color … being one with God … just man and pole … no cares to their name. It’s just the lonely fisherman and the quiet lapping of the river against the pull […]

Matt Mouser - December 9, 2011 - 8:22 AM

Man what great pictures mom. It was a lot of fun this year fishing with dad. Brings back old fishing memories of wading the river at deadwood near Cathedral Pines, the river into Stanley lake, the stream and Edna Creek, the river at Silver Creek. I miss fishing big fish with him on the river up north. Thanks for the comments. Love ya.

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - December 9, 2011 - 9:10 AM

What a wonderful comment Matt. It meant so much to me but will even mean more to your dad. Love ya right back. MOM

6 Days of Perfection: They call her Piper Jane

Be prepared to say “ahhh” … it’s inevitable with this little 8.2 lb. six-day old! My sister-in-law gifted this portrait session to her daughter-in-law’s sister and husband. Cindy - November 29, 2011 - 10:59 PM

These are just priceless, Mary! I love each and every one of them, especially the one of Piper with that adorable little smile and the one where her parents are looking down adoringly at her. And the one on the scale is so sweet! Love the pink cap with the rosebud ties……..you really inspire me! I know several expectant moms; hope I can do some newborn pics of their little cherubs when they arrive (and, like you, wish I had an in-home studio!).

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 29, 2011 - 11:08 PM

Thank you Cindy! Its always great to get an encouraging word from a fellow photographer! It’s always harder than I think it should be. Babies can be intimidating!

Molly - November 30, 2011 - 11:02 AM

Oh my goodness – you did such a great job! Thank you so much, Mary! They are so beautiful – each made me smile more than the last 🙂

vickie - November 30, 2011 - 5:26 PM

o my goodness Mary the pics are adorable. Molly & Jordan probably love them now but will love them even more as their little one grows so quickly. You did a wonderful job as usual. Do not even think about not sharing your talent. You’re the best. 🙂 Vickie

DA - November 30, 2011 - 8:33 PM

Oh, Mary, these are so very precious! You have captured Miss Piper beautifully and I love the pics of Molly, Jordan and Piper, too! Thank you so very much for capturing this special time in Piper’s life. These pictures will be treasured for years to come. I hope you will be available to take pics of each of my grandbabies! 🙂 Thank you so very much! DA

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 30, 2011 - 8:55 PM

Thanks to both of you (DA and Vickie) for your sweet comments. She was the easiest so far in that she slept the best over the other babies as we moved her around. I think that she was only 6 days old was the key rather than waiting until they are two weeks. She was a doll and really gave me the bug to have two more of my own! I’ll really improve then and will be ready for Katie’s and Jacob’s baby! (Big smile inserted here.)

Megan - November 30, 2011 - 11:03 PM

OH MY HELL. And to think you were worried they wouldn’t come out. I love you, but you gotta stop that you know. Time and time again you produce amazing pics. I loved the two that were your favorite also and if they were my kid- they’d be up in a 30×40. I better start saving…I have plans on buying one after you take our pics. Awesome job, again. Keep up the great work and STOP DOUBTING!!!

Aubrey - December 1, 2011 - 3:53 PM

Love that red headed Mama, she is a STUNNER! No wonder that baby girl is so perfect!

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we always get to spend time with our good friends from Cottonwood to watch the BSU game. Some exciting news was revealed over the weekend […]

What wonderful large group poses, Mary, and what a beautiful setting! Here in Michigan, all our leaves have already fallen. Love seeing that autumn color again!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 27, 2011 - 9:23 PM

Thank you Cindy … wanted to do some sitting stuff but too much goose poop! Also the park has a great bridge with possibilities behind it but the bridge had chains on it when we went. Renovation I guess. Our leaves are pretty much gone too except for some oak tress and some odd pine trees that turn orange (which happened to be this back drop). I think we have a long winter ahead and for sure, Michigan must get cold. Brrrrr.

Cindy - November 27, 2011 - 10:16 PM

Yes, Michigan gets WAY too cold for me! Some snow is predicted for Wednesday and I am SO not ready! I’d be happy for a white Christmas and maybe a week or two of snow after that and then a quick jump into SPRING, my favorite season of the year!!!

It’s a … BOY!

The wait is over. The reveal was tonight. A gift to all the families on both sides. MJ is going to be the best big brother to: Jayden Lane Mouser Due April 11, 2012 He is already loved sooooo much! XXO Baby Jayden!

Awwww, what a cute post!!! I love the pics- especially the last one- theirs turned out MUCH cuter than ours.

Linda Johnston - November 22, 2011 - 9:40 PM

Wonderful pictures, wonderful news, beautiful family! Sweet little MJ IS going to be a great big brother. I guess I hadn’t heard the due date before but a marvelous man was born on that date exactly 60 years ago from April 11, 2012–Guy Johnston!!

FairlyCandid.wordpress.com - November 22, 2011 - 10:23 PM

The due date got moved up a week when she went for her ultrasound yesterday. She was three days behind Megan originally, but is three days ahead of her now. Cousins fighting for their alpha position I guess. 🙂 And you know that date is also my sister Julie’s b-day so Jayden will have lots of company if he comes when he’s due.

Katie Blevins - November 22, 2011 - 11:12 PM

So exciting!! Do we get to hear news on Megan’s pregnancy too?

Kathy Grover - November 23, 2011 - 1:44 PM

Congratulations to all.
