The Canadian Friends

Our family has a favorite spot to camp up towards Lowman and several years ago our son and his family were camping there with friends when they noticed this couple walking their cat on a leash. Needless to say my son is not shy and so he yelled out something to the couple, to which they responded in kind … and the rest is history. But the story gets even more interesting. You see, Andre’ and Rhonda live in Canada but travel to Idaho for two weeks every year with their trailer just to camp at Lowman! When anyone speaks of them in the family, they are fondly spoken of as “The Canadian Friends”.  The last two years they have come to Boise to stay a few days with Matt and Danielle before they all go back up to camp. Berks the cat is still with them, but I’ve not met him. Who I have met this trip that I didn’t meet last year, is their adorable 10-month old daughter, Eva, with her two new top teeth that had just popped through. Take a closer look to see if you can see them. 🙂

My grandson, Jayden, 15 months, came along to hold the reflector for me. You rocked it Jayden!

This next picture should have a caption for Eva but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. Any suggestions?

Rhonda, this next one needs to be a big canvas on a wall somewhere. Just sayin’. Such a sweet baby.

We had a visitor just downstream from our shoot.

He had to stop to take a pee!

Just in case you wanted to know, this next one is my favorite. Such a cute couple.

Captain Adorable came along to impress the girls. Are you impressed girls?

“Ahhhh! That’s cold!”

Rhonda and Andre’, thank you for the fun of getting to meet you again in such a rewarding way. The kids enjoy you all so much. See you next year!

Oh Mary. These are wonderful pictures! Eva is a DOLL! If I were her parents I would have a hard time picking my favorite picture! They are a very cute couple. I wish the family all the best in the world. They should have a great time raising such a cutey.

Tracey, thank you for such sweet comments. It was a hot and humid morning down by the river but we had a good time. In Canada, they get a year off for maternity leave so Rhonda is definitely enjoying her time with Eva.

Hi Mary! Sorry I haven’t been on here in awhile. Life has been insane and all consuming. But as always….great photos here. I especially love the water ones.

Hope all is well with you and yours. The grandkids are growing so fast!
